Infrastructures of development was actually started by him, later stopped in BNP regime.

Ershad started building bridge culvert in villages, he made primary education mandatory and free. He made woman education free till class 8 ( that time that was a big achievement because woman education considered a crime in villages that time), he established hundreds of school and collages all over Bangladesh, he increased allowance for non govt school college and madrasa teachers from 30% to 70% of govt salary scale.

Actually countless I can't even write here even few of them.

Finally he ( Ershad) made Islam as the state religion of Bangladesh.

Later he was thrown away because of revulation for democracy in 1990. And BNP unexpectedly win 1991 election and formed govt with the help of jamat Islami. But vote count was same for both parties.

However, from 1991-1996 Khaleda zia regime was not very bad. She didn't do any major development, but did some minor works. Still that's good. Later when the time of her retirement come, she proclaimed, ' other than a mad man and a baby, no one is neutral/impartial, so the concept of caretaker govt is irrelevant'. Now when her 15 February 1996 election was proven failed, even jamat Islami went against BNP by boycotting the election.

Sheikh Hasina did many development that time, she developed electricity as usual, she is the only prime minister in Bangladesh who made a total neutral president for her govt former chief justice Shahabuddhin Ahmed who also served as the chief adviser of caretaker govt in 1991 election.

However the noble decision of Sheikh Hasina proved to be fatal for her, and ultimately became the cause of all conspiracy against her and result was her fall.

Later BNP formed govt again with jamat Islami and Bangladesh saw the darkest regime ( 2001-2006) .
