AMRITSAR: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel apprehended five Pakistani youth on Saturday who had illegally crossed the Indo-Pak international border. Four of them were found to have inadvertently crossed over and were handed back to Pakistan Rangers on late Saturday evening. BSF is investigating about the fifth Pak national's credentials and his motive to enter India.
BSF inspector general, frontier, Himmat Singh told TOI that a BSF patrolling party in Chhanna border outpost spotted four persons on two motorcycles entering Indian territory. They were apprehended by BSF but detailed investigations revealed that four persons, identified as Mohamma Yakub, 35, Abdul Bilal, 17, Hassan Ullah, 18 and Sursuby Ali, 20, had entered Indian territory inadvertently following their cattle.
Another Pakistani held at Saharan border outpost by BSF was identified as Mohammad Alim. "We are investigating about him. However, nothing incriminating was found in his possession," Singh said.
