BSF Jawan Killed, Another Injured in 'Firing by Bangladesh Guards' in Bengal's Murshidabad Dist

If your country helped us getting our freedom, then it's not because of any feelings and love for us, but your country actually wanted to break Pakistan, that's why they helped us. Please prove me wrong, help Rohingyas to get their independence from Burmese killers!

You are judging people of this region with this research? You must be kidding! Online research is just BS, and far from reality.

Obviously we helped you get freedom not only because we wanted to break Pakistan but also because your refugees were filling into Assam creating a crisis situation for us. Similar thing is happening with you in Myanmar and Rohingyas so you should act just as India did.

Humney sabka theka nahin le rakha.

And yes, research by Pew Centre is far more credible than what some Jamaati/Razakar on the internet tells me.

Its fake research.they choose ppl who are pro india intentionally. My opinion reflect how most bd ppl feel toward your current government. 2014 and 2019 lot has changed in india. Lets be honest.

I would rather believe a respected global think tank than a Jamaati/Razakar on a Pakistani defence web site.

If 1971 was the only time we won, Kashmir would be yours today and you wouldn't be running from pillar to post trying to get someone to hear your voice on Kashmir.

Calling Feb 27 incident an air war is hilarious to put it mildly. It was not even a battle, forget about a war. It was only a skirmish.

As for this incident, we are waiting for an official statement from the government - If it was indeed BSF's fault then the matter should be managed diplomatically, but if not, a few BGB will disappear in the coming days.

Erm if we had lost any other time then Pakistan wouldn't be around to carry on the fight for Kashmir, it works both ways.
Haha so it was a skirmish was it, that's only because you lost. Had it been a win for India your media and sanghi government would have touted it as a win for all times. Face it, it was an air battle. You sent an armada of planes to hit Pakistan, which you did (the extent can be argued) then the PAF said it was game on. You knew the PAF was coming and we sent an armada back and took down your mig, hit near your bases and you also lost an MI-17 helicopter, this is a clear victory for Pakistan. We beat you in a battle, and many others outside the Pak/Indo sphere shared the same sentiment.
As for the BSF, they're experts at killing civilians and I laughed at your comment at how you will make the BGB disappear, they will maul you mate. The Bengalis are tough fighters.
Do you remember the last time?

All the other wars besides 1971 were Kashmir related wars which Pakistan started to grab Kashmir by force. You couldn't so you lost. Plain and simple. These wars weren't started by India to eat up Pakistan. Accept your consistent defeats and try to improve your performance.

It was a dogfight, in which only 8 Indian planes were involved while you had 24 in the air. Most international media has reported it that way. Not as a battle.

Anyway, look how easily came down from "it was an air war" to "it was a battle"

Now you should come down to "dogfight/skirmish" :P

As for Bangladeshis being good fighters, yes of course, who would know about that better than Pakistanis when your genocidal lot got mauled by the Bangladeshis along with the Indian army after killing hundreds of thousands of civilians there in 1971 which also led to 90,000 Pakistani PoWs with India.

Still, however, IF BGB acted unprovoked they will be punished.

Bhai the British wouldn’t have won 400 years ago either had we not had a Mir Zafar, we should ensure to get rid of modern Mir Zafars
I am not talking about the BD-India matters but talking on the British. ( years after Plassey there was another real war between the forces of (Nawab Mir Kasem + Nawab of UP + Mughal Emperor Shah Alam) and the British in Buxer.

As usual, our combined troops were all fatosh fatosh, hya karunga hua karunga, mar dhor while the British Army was mobilizing their small army as per European traditions. Our combined troops were soundly defeated to the British in this war of 1765. This was the war that made this country the colony of the British, not Plassey. In reality, Plassey was just a prelude.

Most people do not even know about the Battle of Buxer but know about Plassey. With a victory at Buxer our history would have changed.

Bangladesh troops kill Indian guard in fishing row at border

Bangladesh border forces fire 'in self-defence' after Indian guards attempted to secure release of detained fisherman.

Bangladeshi troops have been put on high alert a day after an Indian paramilitary guard was killed and another critically wounded following an altercation over fishing at a border river.

The Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) said it fired in self-defence on Thursday after Indian border guards intruded to try to take away an Indian fisherman that Bangladesh had detained.

The incident in the Indian state of West Bengal took place after Bangladesh detained three Indian fishermen for allegedly sailing into their waters searching for Hilsa, a popular fish in regional cuisine.

Two of the fishermen were released or escaped and informed Indian border guards of their detention.

Six Indian guards then took a boat to an island on the Padma River to secure the release of the third fisherman, India's Border Security Force (BSF) said.

The BSF said a "border guard was killed and another critically injured in firing by Bangladeshi border troops along the riverine border".

But in a statement late on Thursday, Bangladesh said Indian troops fired first after they "forcibly tried to take the detained fisherman" and their border personnel resisted them.

The Indian soldiers "got angry and opened fire and they drove their speedboat back to India by firing all the way. Then the [BGB] patrol team fired back in self-defence," the BGB said.

The Indian border force named the shot officer as Head Constable Vijay Bhan Singh. The second guard was taken to hospital, where he was fighting for his life.

Illegal fishing
Bangladesh said officials from both sides met after the incident and agreed to investigate the encounter and hold future talks.

On Friday, the situation at the border was "normal", Shariful Islam a spokesman for the Bangladeshi force said.

"Our troops have been put on high alert to avoid any untoward incident," he told Reuters news agency.

Illegal fishing is not uncommon in the Sunderbans, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which straddles the border of India and Bangladesh and is famous for its mangrove forest.

Thousands of people fish in the area around the year. Fishermen detained on both sides are usually released after talks between border officials.

Border relations between India and Bangladesh have been calm, and this is the first fatal incident in recent times.

The neighbours struck a series of deals this month when Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited New Delhi.

They share a border stretching more than 4,000 km (2,485 miles), where clashes have intermittently erupted over what India terms "illegal immigrants" from Bangladesh.

The only defeat was in 71, the rest were stalemates, I know you've been fed that Pakistan has lost every war but I love to break to you, it's not true and there are numerous neutral links for this.

Dog fight ok, but did you miss the first part out on purpose? You sent over 12 mirage, 4 MKI's, 2 refuelling craft and 2 AWACS, that's a full scale strike which resembles war conditions.
As for the whole 24 PAF craft v 8 IAF craft, whose fault is that? You started it and got your backsides kicked. It also highlights how inept your airforce was i.e. they knew hostilities had been declared and they still got outwitted and hit hard. Pathetic and here you are trying to make out that was somehow unfair. :dance3:

It was an air battle, look at the scale of the formations, don't be upset you lost the air battle;

On Feb. 26, the IAF launched airstrikes against what it said were terrorist camps in Pakistan. Pakistan retaliated with fighter planes dropping their payloads in Kashmir and, in an ensuing air battle, shot down an Indian MiG-21 warplane and captured its pilot.

India’s claim that one of its fighter pilots shot down a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet in an aerial battle between the two nuclear powers in February appears to be wrong. Two senior U.S. defense officials with direct knowledge of the situation told Foreign Policy that U.S. personnel recently counted Islamabad’s F-16s and found none missing.

Lol@wikipedia the site swarming with a million sanghis editing everything and anything. Your credibility has literally hit wrong bottom.

As for the rest you keep on mentioning 71, that was over 40 years ago son. They mauled you in 2001 and just killed your terrorist BSF how do you feel?:suicide:
Let's talk about the present.

With that I'm just going to delete your replies because you went off-topic first with this 71 rubbish and I hit back with the recent air battle, concentrate on the topic at hand.

Plassey victory sealed the British empires dominance over the French, buxer sealed the fate of the British raj... but had plassey been won, and French dominated the European continent, the colonials powers would/ might have been totally different.

They will never accept this naked fact that they have elected a terrorist and a mass murderer, as their PM, with a thumping majority; because it is a very bitter truth. But, since those killed by this scoundrel were Muslims; so it hardly matters for most of these Sanghi Bhakts.

Kolkata: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed, while another injured on Thursday in firing "apparently" by the BGB troops of Bangladesh along the international border of the two countries in West Bengal, officials said.

They said the BSF head constable has been killed along the border in the Murshidabad district after the patrol came under firing. The BSF patrol is understood to be stopping some illegal act on the border.

Preliminary information suggests that the firing was done by the troops of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), officials said. Another trooper of the border guarding force has sustained bullet injury, they said.

They said a 'flag meeting' of ground commanders has been sought by the BSF along the border and it is currently underway. The relations between the BSF and the BGB have been very cordial for decades and there has never been an incident of firing between the two forces.

I would not give the right to an Indian to call us razakar,jamati/ freedom fighters, or it's supporters . That's why I ignored his message ( same message was directed towards me too ) .
If it was a Bangladeshi ( who atleast has the right to speak about our freedom war; because it's his country too ) , I would confront him with a knife on my tongue .

But I will not give the right to burglars who joined in to our freedom fight ( in December when we already won the war )only to burgle our glory in our freedom war .

They will never accept this naked fact that they have elected a terrorist and a mass murderer, as their PM, with a thumping majority; because it is a very bitter truth. But, since those killed by this scoundrel were Muslims; so it hardly matters for most of these Sanghi Bhakts.
I already read some of their opinion ( here in PDF) and that is , their agenda is how many religious fanatics we have in Bangladesh , and their aim is to show it to the world . On the other Hand , they really do not care about our views on Hindutva fanatics ( sages according to them ) .

So Islamist are terrorists , and Hindutva are sages , case closed . Not sure if it's the mentality of other Indians too ! But it's a possibility that majority of Indians hold this view !

I am glad that Modi is elected for the second time . Otherwise some of us may never knew the real face of majority Indians .
