As for the future, quoted from Wikipedia :
BGB has adopted a long term modernization plan named "BGB Goal 2041" in 2017. The plan intends to make BGB a well-trained, well equipped and technologically advanced force.
In short terms, BGB plans for structural and manpower expansion. A
new region (equivalent to division ) will be raised in Ramu of Cox's Bazar.Three new sectors (equivalent to
brigade ) will be raised at Ali Kadam of Bandarban,Naogaon and Jessore.
Eight new battalions will
be formed at Jhikargacha of Jessore,Meherpur, Khagrachari ,Boro Mowdok of Bandarban , Gazipur ,
Narayanganj and Kulaura of Maulavibazar.
Two riverine battalions
will be raised in BGB at
Nildumur of Shatkhira
and Teknaf of Cox's Bazar. They are the first two units of BGB who will be able to operate in riverine borders and chars ( River island). The number of personnel will be increased from 50000 to 65000 soon. 124
Border Out Posts (BOP)
and 70 heli-support BOPs are being set up in the border areas of hilly districts along the
border with Myanmar.
128 Border Sentri Posts
(BSP) are being constructed between the
distant BOPs. BGB members ae being
equipped with bulletproof vests and ballistic helmet.
A Quick Response Force
will be established for
BGB. The force will work
to supply modern arms
and ammunition swiftly
to border points in case
of any emergency. [48]
For smooth operation in
the border areas, border
roads are being
constructed. In BGB day
2017 , prime minister said that the government has undertaken a plan to
construct a total of 3,167 km ring road across the borders with India and Myanmar.
BGB intends to go three
dimensional as per the
plan. Bangladesh government has already
approved the proposal
for buying two Mi-171E
helicopters from Russia
at a cost of Tk. 355.10 crore. However,Bangladesh Air Force pilots will fly the helicopters initially. A heliport with hangar is being set up at Baitul
Izzat in Chittagong.
Eventually, BGB plans to have four aviation
wings.
To effectively monitor
the border, BGB plans to
add modern technology
to the border management. The plan
is to set up cameras,
night vision goggles and
infrared sensors throughout the border.
BGB plans to achieve 3I
(Information,Identification,Intervention)capabilities
in the border in long
term. Having Radar and Satellite monitoring facilities in the border
are also planned.
He may consult our Sheikh Rasheed (AKA Sheeda Tully), the Railway Minister, who also wears a wig.
He has tried quite a few wigs since he accepted the FM portfolio - but none of them fit his odd shaped conical head.
Apparently he's too cheap to go for Rogaine hair growth treatment or at least get a better wig. No surprise considering his idiotic 'husband-wife' comment describing Bangladesh-India relations...
Can you imagine the younger 'kept' woman (pretty sure he has one) watching him taking off the wig (toupee) in front of her. That would be worth some horror movie theatrics.
Why do you think this is the first time? But, note one point. Our BGB troops are not at war with India. So, do not expect a situation like that in the Pakistan-India border.Bangalis are shooting at Indians?
That's some spine they've got.
In order not to fire up nationalism on both sides, the two govts hid the killing figures. On BD side 2 were immediately killed and five were injured. Of them, 1 died during treatment. So, total deads were 3 in Bd side.Bangladeshi officials say that two of their soldiers died and 16 Indian border guards were killed in the clash at a border outpost in Kurigram.

16 bodies of Indian troops were found in BD territory. However, the total number of dead plus injured is 93. As per military rules, most of the dead bodies and the injured were carried away by the fleeing Indian troops.
I am not actually glorifying war and deaths. However, I must glorify our BDR/BGB troops.
Their Commander asked them to vacate the place because it would be futile for 13 troops to fight 400 IA troops. They unanimously asked their Commander to order them to fight with a full knowledge that certain death was waiting.
They quickly prayed their one Raqat Namaaz knowing it would be the last, hugged each other by saying to meet after the death. They took positions and started firing when the Indians came within 100 meters. The result I have described above. On our side, 25 villagers were also wounded by bullets.
Thank you for the account, incredible courage.
Imagine 70,000 of such troops. Now just imagine harnessing that sentiment and creating a potential third front for India.

And that's only BGB.

In my heart and looking at current trends, and of course what prophecy says, Pakistan and Bangladesh will become very close again. It has been heartening to see the mass support for Kashmiri, people be them Awami supporters or nationalist supporters. When you see die hard secular lefties marching for Kashmir in Bangladesh you know things are heading in the right direction. Going on social media you see thousands of messages wishing the best for Kashmiris and Pakistan. Just yesterday I came across scores of message supporting Pakistan and applauding the responses on the line of control from the Pakistan army.
We can't erase the past but can look forward to the future and we have the most powerful biding element of all i.e. our faith. Bangladesh still retains its strong Muslim identity and that's all that is needed.
These sanghis will only get worse, their rabid behaviour so far is nothing compared to what they have in store for their Muslims, and venom they will spit at neighbours, this will also bring us together.
Glad tidings indeed.Makes me hopeful for a day when people of both countries will be able to reunite as brothers & cooperate economically & militarily against those who would seek to harm us & our brethren. In my heart and looking at current trends, and of course what prophecy says, Pakistan and Bangladesh will become very close again. It was the Boroibari account. But, why suddenly a 400-strong IA/BSF should attack BDR border outpost at the dead of night? India was constructing a road in another contested land named Padua located about 200 km west of Boroibari. BDR protested and asked BSF to stop the construction because it was a BD land captured by India in 1971 and no permanent construction was allowed by a signed agreement between the two countries.Thank you for the account, incredible courage.

; all folks in Bangladesh (of all political and social subscription) have certain common humanitarian values, and those values do not jive with hate, bigotry, communal separatism and oppression of minorities, whomever it is.die hard secular lefties marching for Kashmir in Bangladesh
