BSF develops Laser Wall to Stop Infiltration from Pakistan

Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju in a written reply to Dr. K.P. Ramalingam in the Rajya Sabha today informed Parliamentarians that Border Security Force (BSF) has developed its own technical solutions like Farheen LASER wall which are very useful to guard the fencing gaps. The LASER has been installed in area of river Basantar, Bein Nallah, Karol Krishna and Paloa Nallah in the Jammu region.

The laser wall will ensure that anyone approaching the border or breaking the beam in an unfenced zone sets off an alarm. He also informed Parliamentarians that Border Security Force (BSF) has been equipped with Modern Weaponry which includes X95 Assault Rifle / Carbine / SMG. One Rifle, three calibers which was supplied by Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) Ltd in 2010 . Beretta 9mm Cx4 Storm PX4 HC which is Tactical Carbine with Pistol-Like Controls in 2011 and Underbarrel Grenade Launcher UBGL from 2011 onward .
