Scenes from 29th May 2011 when Republican Guard loyal to Ahmad son of president Ali Abdullah Saleh led attack on city of Taiz (central Yemen) peaceful protest square, burning down tents and occupants and shooting others with AK47s. About 60 were killed in the square and hundreds injured. They were unarmed.

A direct hit in the forehead lodges a smoking gas bomb in a protester's skull, fired by Central Security police headed by the president's nephew. Rogue regimes often use gas bombs as supplementary weapons to bullets by firing the cannisters directly at people's bodies.

It was filmed by Wadi AlShaibani, and continues to show the protester having his skull operated on in hospital to remove the cannister. It occured in the city of Taiz, where fighting between rebels of the Mikhlafi tribal grouping defending the unarmed protesters and loyalist Republican Guard and Central Security bent on killing unarmed civilians is still raging almost non-stop since late May.

Protesters have been demanding for months a full change to the regime, which is massively riddled by corruption and abuses of authority causing the state to become a failure and the poorest Arab nation.

WHY DONT THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA NOT SHOWING THE BRUTALITY

The owners of those so-called main stream media are all allies of israel, it is in their interest to have despots like Saleh in power. In other words, these tyrannical despots are the friends of the west. Hence, there's no big cry over such heinous crimes committed by these tyrants.
