Here's a quiz for the uniformly well-informed readers of Broadsword. Best, second-best and third-best answers get a Platinum, Gold and Silver star respectively.

And, of course, there is the Wooden Spoon...

The questions:

1. What's happening on the Agni-6? (Hint: most of what has appeared on the net is incorrect)

2. What's happening in the photo above?
Broadsword: Broadsword Quiz: Whither Agni-6?

Any guess?

filament wound composite casing probably epoxy coated, assembly of various stages being done

Answers,
1.)There is no such thing called AGNI-6,it is the AGNI-5 which later configured for MIRV warhead.
2.)It's AGNI-2. On the left,warhead cone,payload adapter and 2nd stage.
On the right,1st stage and interstage connector.

I am sick of drdo and other departments why the hell they allow jurnos and outsiders inside :hitwall: :hitwall:

Why not, it's not like journalists can look at it and reverse engineer it in their heads and leak design secrets.

Letting them access any classified files or blueprints would be a different issue. A tour around the facility will not really leak anything secret.

Couple of question for you ?

1. Configured for MIRV? Configured even when we are at the early stages of MIRV development?
2. Who told you that there is no such thing as A6? Following is an excerpt from DRDO MAY 2011 newsletter.

Shri Avinash Chander, Distinguished Scientist, Programme Director, SFD and Director, Advanced Systems Laboratory has been appointed as Chief Controller R&D (Missiles and Strategic Systems) wef 3 May 2011. He is an eminent scientist in the field of Missiles and is the Chief Designer of Long-range missile system, with specific contribution in Agni programme management, mission design, guidance, navigation, simulation and terminal guidance. He has unique achievement of delivering and deploying three long-range Agni missile weapon systems viz, A1, A2 and A3.
Presently, he is leading three major system developments; A2p, a technologically challenging state-of-the-art system; a 5,000 km canister-launched A5 system; and a 6000 km A6 system with multiple warheads (MIRV) capable of launching both from the ground and underwater.[15]

When you change configuration of a missile to carry multiple warheads with greater range, don't you think the name will be changed too?

My understanding. Also kindly read the last two line in the given link.

Go through the whole article......and you will find the last two lines insignificant.
