Wonderful news just in. Our two boys Jack and Chris have won the gold medal in the men's 3m synchronised dive. Well done boys! Rule Britannia!
Jack Laugher and Chris Mears won Great Britain's first ever Olympic diving gold medal with victory in the men's synchronised 3m springboard at Rio 2016.
The pair produced a sparkling display to add the Olympic title to their Commonwealth and European crowns.
The Britons scored a total of 454.32 to end China's hopes of a clean sweep of diving golds in Rio.
Qin Kai and Cao Yuan had to settle for bronze behind the United States.
It was the first diving event in Rio where China have failed to win gold.
Laugher, 21, and Mears, 23, broke down in tears inside the Maria Lenk Aquatic Centre when their victory was confirmed by China's faltering final dive.
The pair led the standings from the end of round three, showing remarkable composure to continue setting the pace and then execute a brilliant final dive under pressure.

Clarke's victory gave Great Britain their second gold of the Rio Olympics.
He told BBC Radio 5 live: "Everything pieced together so nicely, I can't put it into words. I knew I was capable but to put down that run in the Olympic final, it is a dream come true.
"It is hard to put it into words how much work has gone into this. I have spent a lot of time here, I know this course like the back of my hand and it has paid off.
"There has been lots of ups and downs but it is just fantastic.
"When I woke up I struggled to have breakfast I was so nervous with all the emotions. I thought if it goes to plan I could come away with a medal but to be Olympic champion it is something you dream about.
