British military scientists sent hundreds of Indian soldiers into gas chambers

Brits did all those in sub continent to facilitate their own exploitation in our resources .
Europeans were always cunning in there attitude .Our ancestors during BC was good enough to understand this ,I have read it somewhere where during Mauryan rule ,Chanakya secretly initiated the assassinations of all Yavanas and Half Yavanas in our nation , both in royal family and in military .

Unfortunately those people in middle ages couldnt do anything .
what irks me and forces me to go quiet and shut up is when my fellow Indian and Pakistani friends Educate me that British Raj was blessing and we wont have gotten to where we are now... but on the contrary what I see our Indian ancestors (even during political turmoil) achieved in almost every single thing that has a "modern" and "technological progression" tag was done by us.. ok .. on our own we might have taken some time but we sure would have discovered everything that gave west the means to lead the world.

this thread has triggered something in me.. people from both sides of my family were hung ..and their children sent across the seas to fight the wars and were told the empire was merciful to them. for giving them the chance to fight for the king.

Gandhi did the right thing by striking the Raj when it was weak otherwise we would have been slaves for maybe another 50 or 60 years like Namibia . but these scum had the last laugh by crating a chaos of 1947 partition when people on either side were not prepared for it resulting in what Jaswant Singh terms as a C section of Indian sub continent.. and boy it hurt .. it hurt back then and it will continue to hurt us for sometime due to our territorial disputes.
on topic, rest in peace to our forefathers who suffered

Tell me sir,are they not doing same in Afghanistan today, and when they were leaving they just made sure that South Asia must have bone of contention in form of kashmir so both new nations start fighting from first hour of there.
My grandfather who fought as missionary in ww2 says
''whiteman is not to be trusted because every moral value in this universe he talks about is going to serve his needs only,he manipulates people's there belief and laws to serve his needs,we under raj at that time were left with no option to serve king or die starving in our own homeland.''

Gandhi did nothing, the reason they left was because they got scared after the 1946 Naval Rebellion which got wide spread support from Indian army and population. IF they had stayed for 1 or 2 more years, there would have been a mass slaughter and the BRits knew it...

Totally agrees with that, it was the Shashi Tharoor that razed this bogus claim 'of British helped us to become civilised ' by pointing each and every facts .
Some members in here from our side often criticise Gandhi for his non violence attitude .But I would say he was a brilliant politician .
Even though they faced a WW ,British Empire was so strong at that time .they had BBC and every kind of manipulation tools in their hand .So a direct armed conflict would only made their case stronger that they have to' civilise these savage people '.Gandhi could understand these tricks in their sleeves and used his cards wisely .Circumstances also helped us for freedom but like you said they again threw the seeds of unrest in both West Asia and South Asia.

In a sense it was us that gave them basic revolutionary tools to dominate us .
Our ancestors used for peaceful purpose and Europeans used those for nefarious purpose .

.
Disgraceful, but soldiers from Britain proper were also exposed. Not that it makes it right.

Two wrongs do not make one right !

You are a french and you are supporting Brits. Interesting !
He makes a valid point. Interesting you should take exception.

European brotherhood vs others... Surprised?

They won't bat an eye even if you become one of them in the pursuit of "integration" ..
Very poor insight into European history (i.e. what brotherhood?)
