A German learner driver narrowly escaped death when she collided with a 62-tonne challenger tank in Augustdorf, Germany.

The 18-year-old woman drove into a column of British tanks but escaped unharmed. The same cannot be said of her Toyota hatchback however, that will cost upwards of £8,600 to repair.

The driver of the first tank, a 24-year-old British serviceman, was unable to stop in time.

His Challenger 2 tank rolled over the Toyota hatchback's bonnet, completely crushing it under its 62-tonne weight.

The woman's Toyota hatchback did not fare so well against the 62-tonne Challenger tank.

Officers in Lippe released pictures of the crash, and said the teenage driver emerged from the wreckage unscathed.

There was no damage to the tank.

The incident is the second in Germany involving a British military vehicle in recent months. In February a Warrior crashed into an elderly Germany couple's front garden.

People were laughing when we put rear mirrors on our Tank, whos laughing now.

Repair? Are they serious, theres nothing left to repair of this car...

what's there to laugh about,what's with your title,do think only British tank or Chinese tank can do that.there are tons of videos of Russian tanks crushing cars or do you think its something speciality of British or Chinese tanks.if somalia produced tanks they could do it also,nothing special.moreover its an old news,if it was an leo a7 the result would have been any different?

She must have tried to cut in front of the tank by U turning into its front. Pretty impressive maneuver.
