One problem. How will all of this affect FATF? Zardari did the biggest money laundering activites in Pakistan. If we let him go, the ML prosecution part will be invalid. No way to defend from FATF, even though its just a political organization. All the progress we made, will be undone. I don't think we will go to blacklist, since we got 3 votes. But still there are other ways to punish Pakistan.
As far as I see, we are not letting anyone out freely without substance to strengthen our case. It may the way like they will speak on record, we ain't publicizing that for the time being, their handlers aka parties involved in FATF push against Pakistan will agree to relief & clean chit while we are getting our looted money in bargain. If, we have confession of these culprits; that will work like a charm in FATF than the possible outcome as one can think. While, on other hand we are having the money as well..... 11 +- billions from one family and then add more by another family, + confessions+leaving us & politics for good. However, these could be mere assumptions at my part but I see things beneficial only if done in such manners.
