Breaking: U.S. Troops Have Secretly Been Deployed in Taiwan for at Least a Year

What the F was that? That was illogical! What were they even thinking?

Errr....DON'T BE SO SURE.....stories of Chinese treatment of UN POWs in the Korean War and the treatment of your own people during Mao's era,man....

US admitted that UN POWs were treated no worse than free North Koreans. You can't expect POWs to be treated superior to free people on your own side, right?

The diet, as bad as it was, was comparable to that of North Korean peasants and medical supplies were unavailable to doctors.

Mao's era (40-50 years ago) treated people better than India today. I've already proven that to you earlier. If Mao's era treated people better than developing countries today, 40-50 years later, then the logical conclusion is that Mao era was at least not worse than the typical developing country.

So you compare yourself to INDIA? Not the rest of the world?

China was a developing country, so that's who we compare to. Once China becomes recognized as a developed country next year, we will compare to other developed countries.

But since we're talking about Mao era, let's compare Mao era China with other developing Southeast Asian countries:

Still ahead. I won't even mention Africa.

.
so even USA have no power wo go open against china they are going like thieves and thugs secretly

.
The Americans couldn't achieve any objective in Afghanistan. Taiwan is a far cry.

Mao's era was far worse than India even at 50-60s. CN GDP per capita was lower, CN peasants were starving as Mao and Deng admitted.

--------------
Before we were to leave, Mao met with Brother Truong Chinh and myself. Mao sat down to chat with us, and in the end he announced: “Comrades, I would like you to know this. I will be president of 500 million land-hungry peasants, and I will bring an army to strike downwards into Southeast Asia.” Also seated there, Deng Xiaoping added: “It is mainly because the poor peasants are in such dire straits!”

Once we were outside, I told Brother Truong Chinh: “There you have it, the plot to take our country and Southeast Asia. It is clear now.” They dared to announce it in such a way. They thought we would not understand. It is true that not a minute goes by that they do not think of fighting Vietnam!

I will say more to you comrades so that you may see more of the military importance of this matter. Mao asked me:

In Laos, how many square kilometers [of land] are there?

I answered:
About 200,000 [sq. km.].

What is its population? [Mao asked]:

[I answered]: Around 3 million!

[Mao responded:] That’s not very much! I’ll bring my people there, indeed!

[Mao asked:] How many square kilometers [of land] are there in Thailand?.

[I responded]: About 500,000 [sq. km.].

And how many people? [Mao asked].

About 40 million! [I answered].

My God! [Mao said], Szechwan province of China has 500,000 sq. km., but has 90 million people. I’ll take some more of my people there, too [to Thailand]!

As for Vietnam, they did not dare to speak about moving in people this way. However, he [Mao] told me: “Comrade, isn’t it true that your people have fought and defeated the Yuan army?” I said: “Correct.” “Isn’t it also true, comrade, that you defeated the Qing army?” I said: “Correct.” He said: “And the Ming army as well?” I said: “Yes, and you too. I have beaten you as well. Did you know that?” I spoke with Mao Zedong in that way. He said: “Yes, yes!” He wanted to take Laos, all of Thailand – as well as wanting to take all of Southeast Asia. Bringing people to live there. It was complicated [to that point].

And we have seen the results...
Nothing to be proud off to be honest.

Yeah many people always say Vietnam or Gulf War mother of all battles or Yugoslavia or Gulf War 2, Afghanistan, etc. Pick your poison. Not going to be pretty.
Grenada, Panama, bay of Pig (Cuba), Somalia, Dominican Republic, Lybia, Syria, Iraq, Vietnam, Afghanistan LOL.

Exactly!
And we know what happened in Afghanistan. Lol

You think China would have done better than the Russians and the U.S.? You didn't do a good job when you invaded Vietnam just after the Vietnam War.

The Americans couldn't achieve any objective in Afghanistan. Taiwan is a far cry.
Are you sure? Al-Qaeda Network was the primary suspect and target after 9/11 and there is no need to explain what became of it in the region; Osama Bin Laden and his son Hamza Bin Laden were taken out as well.

USA failed to change political landscape of Afghanistan. Afghan Taliban could not be substituted for indefinite period. The likes of Ashraf Ghani were up to no good.

Afghanistan is also landlocked and USA had to take Pakistan onboard to operate there. Pakistan could exert its influence in the process.

Each war can be a different experience from the next, however.

Taiwan does not have internal insurgency problem like in the case of Afghanistan. The island is not landlocked either. China is strong but Taiwan wasn't sitting idle. China can take over Taiwan in theory but the pace of this takeover is contingent upon how Taiwanese will fight because Taiwan's landscape favors the defending party. China's best bet is to take over Taiwan before Japan and USA might decide to intervene. This conflict will present its own set of challenges to the belligerents.

Let us hope that conflict over Taiwan can be avoided because Taiwan is not irrelevant like Afghanistan. Taiwan's semiconductor industry is big deal.

.
US could just call those troops volunteers, just like China called their army in Korea during the Korea war as volunteers.

.

Btw aren't these democratic Indian soldiers making you ashamed by surrendering to PLA and choosing to live?

I don't represent Chinese government, he doesn't represent Greek government. If China doesn't stop trading with Greece because some 19 year old gamer hilariously called China a tyranny then clearly Greece isn't going to stop trading with China because I remind them of their place in the world.
Not to mention that most of historic Greece was cannibalized by the Turks and lost forever. Their largest territory was western Anatolia and most of the historic population of Byzantium was around Constantinople. That entire territory and its population was completely assimilated into the Turk nation and those Greeks became Turks. So they are lost forever.
