Ankara has recalled its ambassadors from both Washington and Tel Aviv “for consultations,” the Turkish government has confirmed.
The Turkish government also declared three days of mourning on Monday for over 50 Palestinians killed on the Israel-Gaza border.

Ankara condemned the “massacre” of Palestinians carried out by Israeli security forces, adding that regional and global peace and stability will not exist until a lasting a just solution to the Palestinian question is reached.

“We strongly condemn the decision of the U.S. Administration to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, violating international law and all relevant UN Resolutions. We reiterate that this action is legally null and void,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in Istanbul on Monday, chanting slogans condemning Israel.

Earlier in the day, South Africa recalled its ambassador to Israel after the news of Gaza killings.

I give this one to Erdogan..although he has stated before that if the US embassy is moved to Jerusalem he will cut diplomatic ties with Usrael..he won't do it with the US as he did not state it before.. but let's wait and see to what length he'll take this move with Usrael..

Turkey has done what it was suppose to do I am rather waiting for Gulf to do something they need to do other than bombing Yemeni civilians.

Very commendable. Pakistan should do the same. Muslims should have a concerted plan of action. Israelis wanted to create a wedge b/w Muslims and US, and they won in a way. Muslims should undermine USA as much as they can to demonstrate some cost of such moves. In my opinion there is a lack of leadership in Sunni world and such decisive moves can build confidence among the masses about Turkeys position in the Sunni world.

When you protest against those who will shoot and kill you just for holding up your flag, it's human nature to defend yourself. I guess if you was in the same situation, you and your family would just lay down and die but Palestinians are not the same as you.

Sorry but they are not protesting with just flags. They are protesting with violence. This not some peaceful protests you hear about. Not like Gandi or Martin Luther King protesting.
