china doesn't take taiwan yet because it hasn't declare independence, nor is it developing nukes, nor is it preparing to host us military bases. meanwhile china gets stronger everyday while also doing a ton of business with the island. as such it makes complete logical sense to wait, every day it waits, the final costs is smaller.
