Palm oil price is about to surpass 7000 Malaysian Ringgit in next Monday

Due to Western world pressure, Indonesia has banned enlarging the plantation areas, so with this situation do they allow us to clear some forest to plant more palm oil ???

Indonesian state owned agriculture companies can do it if it is the case.....if not then dont criticize us if we ban the export due to raising demand.

Only state owned companies should do it as our SOE in agricultural sector is very supportive in supplying palm oil to serve domestic demand with lower price.

One way to solve this problem for long term is to allow our SOE agricultural companies to open some areas in our forest to plant more palm oil.

There is revision on previous ban, crude palm oil (CPO) can still be exported while refined palm oil is banned from being exported.

This policy then will give huge relief for small palm oil farmer who dont have refining factory while big companies will be effected since they have refined factories.

Nevertheless majority of Indonesian CPO export is in the form of refined palm oil. So there will be decrease of palm oil supply to the world market, regardless of that it is still much better than total export ban.

Clever policy I would say since domestic refined palm oil is already used market system so the price has been doubled, it then force them to supply domestic market since refined palm oil cannot be stored too long as like sun flower oil, then price is expected to go down due to huge supply
