Breaking News : Afghan Vice President Has Reportedly Escaped To Tajikistan

"No way. There is no way I can surrender to the Taliban. None" said vice president amanullah Saleh.
But here is the part he didn't say out aloud......"I will flee Afghanistan long before it ever comes down to surrendering to talibs".

They speak about the isi all the time. But I don't think it is as powerful as people made it to be.
Because we were unable to assassinate him and our targets in Afghanistan practically a war zone. They can die in bomb blast, gun fire, rocket attack etc etc and no one would bat an eye.
Heck we are not even able to kill pakistan specific terrorist in Afghanistan which he hides.
I don't know what isi or other agencies have their position on this issue. But you can't be appologetic all the time.
You do have to eliminate your targets in Afghanistan.

Two words: Loudmouth Coward

Who wants to fight for these cowards? No wonder ANA folded in so many sectors without offering much resistance to Afghan Taliban.

You should read Western media news articles and opinion pieces. Not to mention the comment sections LOL The average Joe is wondering what happened. It is like lightening has struck them. I am amazed at a reoccurring question regarding ANA defections. The Americans and NATO countries are enraged and full of disbelief how ANA soldiers are laying down their weapons. The US/NATO really thought they could buy Afghan loyalty in two decades. The arrogance is mindboggling. The trashing was inevitable.

LOL don't pretend you don't care. I know why you avoid such humiliating topics. Give us an explanation why this Afghan fed on US taxpayers money ran off.

You have a point but I think that Americans slowly but surely understood that cowards like Amanullah Saleh are not worth fighting over.

Metaphorically speaking, you don't wake up one fine day and give a call for 'unconditional withdrawal' from a region after 20 years of investment in it just like that. You fight for something (or somebody) reliable.

Americans might have lost confidence in Ashraf Ghani. They probably realize that a deal with Afghan Taliban is a much more cost-effective trade-off for them.

Abdullah Abdullah is still in picture though. Possibility of negotiated settlement still exist therefore. Let us see.

explanation? because the people that have plagued Kabul for hundreds of years don't really care about Afghanistan. If you look at my post from many years ago I had said Afghanistan needs to carved and distributed to Iran and all the neighboring ~istans such as Pakistan, Tajikistan et al

I'm not sure why you and some other Pakistani's are so happy. The only way for the US to drag Afghanistan into the 21st century was by the ruthless application of military power. We as a nation don't have the stomach for that and so I saw this train wreak coming years ago.

The US wasted time and money and now we move on and leave Afghanistan in your able hands.. :enjoy:

That is true. Afghanistan needs to be merged with Pakistan. I don't think Iranians or any of the Central Asian states can stomach invading and conquering Afghanistan.

Pakistan has an edge due to the historic Pashtun pop. residing within Pakistan along with 5-10% of Afghanistan's population residing as refugees in Pakistan.

Tbh, Afghanistan will gain a lot by merging with Pakistan, out of the many things it'll gain will be a port and a nuclear umbrella. No one will dare invade Afghanistan again.

But, this is all a pipe dream for now. :D
