Less than a year from first flight to induction? Impressive speed, although I am a bit skeptical.

MK1A will likely spend a year or two performing state acceptance trials before achieving IOC.

Tejas Mk-1A features:
- AESA radar
-Integral EW suite
-Advanced avionics
-More Advanced MFDs, altimeter, navigation.

Since there is no structural changes or flight control changes trials will be minimal.

Flight testing still required even if there are no external changes. Deliveries will likely be to the IAF equivalent of the Pakistani TEF (Test & Evaluation Flight).

HAL will wrap up Tejas Mk-1 deliveries by 2020 December.
So Mk-1A will likely proceed from mid 2021 onwards

No more breaking Tejas news, just build the damn thing and shut up about it

We have had decades of breaking news with 12 tejas built at the same cost as a Su30

Make a thread when you get to 100 tejas, not before

Hmm good, by 2021 PAF will have around 120 upgraded JF-17 block IIs with AESA radars/other advance goodies + a squadron of JF-17 BLK IIIs.
No.
JF-17 blk 3 will enter PAF service in 2021 only.
Also there is no confirmation that Blks 2s will be upgraded with AESA now. Atleast not before JF-17 MLU begins in 2028.

IAF has once gain emerged as the winner by being the first south Asian air force to operate AESA radar jets as it will recieve Rafales in Sept 2019.
