I pray that your country, my German friend, reverses its liberal immigration policy. Germany must remain German. I agree to a limited , selective immigration policy, but to the point where Germany admits close to 2 million refugees? You have no idea if these refugees will even abide by German law, will even speak or understand German lingua franca. One has to appreciate the cultural effects on these foreigners as they are culturally alien to German citizens who live in a liberal democracy centered on the rule of law. Most of these refugees come from islamic dominated societies that have had shariah law, not constitutionally administered laws centered on the democratic principles. Many of them come from and lived under the dictatorship of the Alawites for decades.

If not for the sake of the German people and the continuation of the German identity, at least in the name of European civilization and preservation thereof.

Europe has been living the collective guilt of two world wars and imperialism for the past 70 years. Nothing wrong in that. But the approach should be greater participation in the development of countries ravaged by European imperialism and denied fundamental human rights even today. Importing hoards of strangers and hoping that they acclimatize will not work. European governments are failing their people. Poland has been brave at the risk of being unpopular, and other countries should follow suit.
