At least 12 people were killed and dozens sustained injuries in a bomb blast on Saturday at Dargah Shah Noorani in Hub, Express News reported.

The blast occurred when believers thronged the famous sufi site in Balochistan.

Rescue teams have reached the blast site and started shifting the deceased and injured to the hospital.

On October 30, three heavily-armed militants wearing suicide vests stormed the New Sariab Police Training Centre near Quetta, killing at least 62 people and wounding dozens more.

At least 30 people were injured on Saturday in an explosion at the shrine of Shah Norani in Lasbela district of Balochistan, DawnNews reported.

“30 people were injured in the blast including women and children,” said Tehsildar Javed Iqbal.

What we know so far
  • Blast within the premises of the shrine
  • At least 30 people injured, deaths feared
  • Difficulty in reaching site of incident due to its remote location
  • No major hospital nearby
The explosion took place at the spot where the dhamaal is played, within the premises of the shrine.

Security forces have reached the spot of the incident.

Rescue officials are facing difficulties in reaching the place of the incident as it is some distance from Hub town.

The shrine is frequented by a large number of devotees on Friday, and is visited by people from across the country.

Balochistan has been experiencing incidents of violence and targeted killings for over a decade. More than 1,400 incidents targeting the minority Shia and Hazara community have taken place in the province during the past 15 years.

The largest province of the country by area, is home to a low-level insurgency by ethnic Baloch separatists. Al Qaeda-linked and sectarian militants also operate in the region. The province shares borders with Afghanistan and Iran.

now that these scums cant target big cities they are settled for small towns.actualy these are sleeper cells.and in sheer desperate situations fearing capture they do these kind of things

I can't emphasise how annoyed I am.

Was expected before opening of Gawadar port tomorrow

May families of the dead find peace...

A sickening and cowardly attack. What monsters can attack a Sufi shrine.

Inna lilahe wa inna elahe rajioun.

How could they get in? Where was the security? Why wasn't the Baluchistan govt prepared? After two attacks on Quetta, such sensitive areas should have been under govt protection. The Baluchistan govt has failed on the security front.

I just hope there are minimal losses.

RIP....for innocent people

30 killed 100 injured no hospital near remote shrine on mountain :-(

It seem it was Jandullah. There leader was dispatched to hell yesterday. They struck to motivate there followers

Seems 500 people were in the Shrine at that time....

I have the opportunity to visit this shrine last year. It's in extremely remote area . Pakistan Army should be called in to start emergency heli lift up in order to safe more lifes otherwise it would take long time for Ambulances to reach.
And 100 percent jundallah is involved. Because they feel it is kufr gong to shrines. Not saying that I agree with the people in shrine but killing people for something they don't believe similar to you is simply bullshit

Seems 500 people were in the Shrine at that time....
in rural areas during urs of sufi saints we have thousands of devotees attend urs so its sadly possible number will go up

RIP....for all innocent people who lost their lives.
