as option say i don't like Falcon nickname for block-3 because F-16 has that nick is FIGHTING FALCON, we have unified name for whole block-3 series, i don't like your suggestion that to export different countries as you refer block-3 have different nicks, How about for JF-17B STRIKE THUNDER AND FOR BLOCK -3 THUNDER STRIKE bro
I agree the designation should be a single option (even among exports), as not to over complicate matters. but you also have to agree the name flip between the single seat and twin seat options can also lead to confusion.
If the JF-17B model is going to serve as a dedicated Strike Platform, I agree Strike Thunder seems like a decent enough name.
When it comes to the Single Seat Fighter Model, though it should be a name that is unique but simple. ThunderStorm and Super Thunder are other options, but they may not convey the shift to a more Electronic warfare platform with modern Air to Air. How about ThunderBoss or ThunderKing or ThunderHawk? ThunderBolt, Rolling Thunder and Thunder Birds have already been used by the US.
Btw, Before the Gripen E or NG name was announced, the Swedish public called that variant the Super Gripen.
The other option is to Ditch the Thunder name and go to traditionally aggressive animal name names like Black Mamba.
