Dr Pillai is correct, stopping world fastest cruise missile is not an easy job.

We can intercept Mach-20 Ballistic missile (yes you read it right, Ballistic missiles reach this speed (Mach6-20) but not mach3-4 cruisemissiles.

CMs can follow terrain hugging trajectory, which make it difficult to detect. The lock on CMs are not easy. The trajectory of CMs are not predictable.

For slower CMs the radar have time to guess trajectory path between point A to B. But a CM flying 6-8 times faster than normal CMs, gives 80% less time to predict the trajectory..

You guys misunderstood what article is trying to say In order to intercept the missile you have to fire it first It will take india 20 years to grow some balls to maybe fire it on some country hence missile can't be intercepted in next 20 years
