Manning is sorry that he hurts the United States by leaking hundreds of thousands of sensitive military and diplomatic documents to the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks.

Manning did not show his regrets in the two previous public speaking, and during trial he had even justified the leak as the necessity to spark a debate about the nation's pro-occupation with "killing and capturing people".
