Thanks for the valuable information. If 10 Million overseas Pakistanis boycott Indian goods then this means overseas Pakistanis have created a big hole for Pakistani investors to dive in. It would look like a guarantee business success for Pakistani items because this will create 10 million customers for Pakistani goods.
In my area we have 4 huge Pakistani super stores, but yes they are not big for whole uk wholesaler, they are slowly opening up stores in other cities.
I keep mentioning about this being Pakistani government fault because if Pakistani government creates a friendly and secure business environment then big Pakistani stores like PakFoods and Freshways will import from Pakistan but at the moment they dont do this because the quality is not guaranteed, investment is not guaranteed. What is the point of investing in everything from Pakistan when you might get ripped off or receive low quality food items.
Don't get me wrong, in US we do recieve very high quality Pakistani grocery products. Shan, National, Tooba, Laziza, Three Rivers, etc are some very famous Pakistani brands here in US among South Asians. Similarly, Pakistani Basmati rice has no competitor. Shan has recently introduced "chakki ata" directly imported from Pakistan. So there is no issue of quality in US at least. The only issue in US is that there are no giant chain stores of Pakistani origin and so most stuff is on the mercy of bhartis.
There are several hundreds tiny Pakistani grocery stores who are no match for giant indian stores. What we need is that either these stores merge up and start competing bharti chain stores, or some Pakistani invest in this business creating giant stores so that Pakistani people shop from there. We have very tiny amount of big business groups of Pakistani origin in US.
