I have read this book before but for those who had not would find many similarities the way Hasina running the govt and sponsoring terror. Sheikh Mujib and Sheikh Hasian's acts are like father like daughter in many ways.

Any country got independence in voilent way will face problems as face by Bangladesh at that time. Pakistan, India faced them. Famine can not be stopped but minimized. But 40 years down you should be happy the way BD is now compare to pakistan.

Even Nehru was also power hungry and at last you can see only Nehru family remains in Indian politics from Independence.

Oops! Zia ur Rahman came to power in 1975, and no one accuses him of a single taka corruption! He was an angel then!

It was plain stupidity in Mujib's part to keep the anti liberation personals in offices instead of the patriotic freedom fighters. In the end he got what he was looking for. He wasn't acting like a leader but a godfather of the thugs.

led to bloodshed of common people from both the languages for own personal power politics and their legacy of bloodshed will continue till the time there is a bloody revolution or peaceful in BD to do away with them for larger interests of BD.
