Just saw lightning that litterally lasted 3-5 seconds. Never seen it last that long at once. The winds are ridiculously violent also.

Get home, buddy! We've had some nasty storms before but this one seems to be packing some violent winds.
Couldn't believe how long that lightning was wow. Those gusts are intermittent but when they come through, yikes.

powers been out for about 5 hours or so.

It certainly was crazy yesterday but it seems to have hit us not as bad as you guys.

Just walked the perimeter and see no damage. There's no snow and it has stopped raining. I have some massive trees near me (one has a trunk around 4 feet wide and still a foot wide 70+ feet up) and they all seem unfazed. Power is on and the streets are clear.

Apparently people’s big prayers were answered and only six people got killed. I guess he likes us...storms like this usually kill hundreds in Asia.

It started flaking then tapered off. False start I think.
