Well it seems a simple sectarian one, as the attack was on some Shia community guys, doesn't seems any other motive behind it, otherwise we would have seen a much larger and huge blast.

Ten killed in Quetta hospital bomb blast
PAKISTAN - 16 APRIl 2010

QUETTA: A suicide bomber killed 10 people, including a TV journalist and senior police officials, in a suspected sectarian attack inside a hospital in Pakistan's southwestern city of Quetta on Friday.

A member of parliament from the ruling Pakistan People's Party was among the scores wounded in the attack outside the emergency ward of the hospital in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, officials said.

“Ten people, including two senior police officials, were killed in the attack and another 47 wounded,” provincial police chief Rehmatullah Niazi told reporters.

A cameraman from the private TV news channel Samaa was among the dead while five other reporters sustained injuries.

They were in the hospital to cover the arrival of the body of a man killed in a drive-by shooting earlier in the day.

Another senior police official said it was a suicide attack and a severed head had been found at the scene. It had not been verified that it was the bomber's head. The official said it appeared to be a sectarian attack against Shias.

Police said 15 kg of explosives were used in the bomb that badly damaged the emergency ward building. Broken window glass and pools of bloods marked the scene of the attack.

Shia( Hazara) and Sunni (Pashtun) conflict is very old conflict. The scary thing about todays incident was the level of planning and execution.
its not a simple secterian crime. it was well planned with every mark of TTP and Al qaieda

Tamil Bhai dont forget Al Qaeda always use secterian sentiments to achieve its ends
remember before arrival of al qaeda there was no shia sunni conflict in iraq both were jointly fighting american occupation. but when al qaeda arrived things turned into shia sunni conflict helping occupational forces.
similerly during hazara campaign during Taliban era it was al qaeda which was reponsible for hazara genocide.
in Pakistan main Allies of Al qaeda are Lashker Jhungvi, Lashker e omer and other secterian extremist groups.

Never heard any shia sunni problem among Baluchis. Its all coming from other provinces. Target killing has ruined many shia families in Quetta. They are literally on the raod, some even very respected Shia families. Wish i could find the program on Target killing by Express TV ..I think "live with luckman." something like that. If someone can post it. You might cry if you see that program.

this is a suicide bombing, hallmark of ttp taliban, it took place in Quetta where BLA and other sectarian violence is known. Some serious thinking and investigation is needed, we don't want escaped ttp from FATA settling in Boulochistan and spreading their tentacles in that region and getting together with violent forces of that region.
