Boeing video on the July 14 launch of an AIM-120 AMRAAM test missile from a prototype confromal weapons bay (CWB) on testbed aircraft F-15E1. The CWB, which allows bombs and missiles to be carried internally, is a key feature of the stealthier F-15SE Silent Eagle proposed by Boeing.

Well it is the next best thing US can offer to export customer.

SE was built with Saudi in mind.

Not only that, SEs are cheaper than Raptor or even F-35 in terms of unit cost (not sure about life cycle costs).

They are the easiest replacement for older F-15 customers like Singapore, Korea, Japan, Saudi etc.

Now it is obvious that no air force can replace their entire older fighter fleet with something as exorbitant as F-22 and neither it is available for export. JSF has a limited role, which makes the SE as the best option available for long term customers of US weaponry.

Unless of course, some country suddenly changes its allegiance which is a remote possibility.
