KARACHI: At least four people were killed and 9 were wounded in a blast in the North Nazimabad area of Karachi on Thursday evening, Express News reported.
The blast was reported to have occurred outside the Muttahida Qaumi Movement North Karachi sector office in Nusrat Bhutto Colony.
According to initial details, explosives were planted in a car which had government licence plates.
The wounded were immediately shifted to Abbasi Shaheed hospital.
Police and Rangers cordoned off the area, while the Bomb Disposal Squad swept the scene of the blast.
On Tuesday, a crude bomb targeting a roadside camp office of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) killed at least three people and injured 30 others.
The Taliban have directly threatened the three main parties in the outgoing government, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the ANP and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), which are often described as secular.
