Blast in Lahore's Mall road

What happened to the implementation of National Action Plan?

Why is PML-N so hell bent on not passing the National Action Plan, and not launching a massive Rangers operation in Punjab?

Death and destruction is our destiny!!

No zardari no miyan no pti no general killed in the blast only us the common people suffer!!

Just between us, mate, so as not to interrupt the flow ...

I don't think the bleak first assumption makes sense.
Why would it be specifically Pakistan's destiny?

Because it is known at large that your second sentence
is universally correct : no matter what the system is,
the powerful rarely truly care for street level stuff or peeps.
You suffer for being common people everywhere, the
difference is in the level of comfort, the quality of suffering
as they would call it if they were honest.

What you are hinting to is the low-level of leadership in humans

... except for fighting, of course!

Your destiny is your own, tackle it!

Best wishes for that and in general, Tay.

Is Afghanistan a STATE ... ???

I mean a "FUNCTIONAL STATE" ... ??

with a "Functional Government" .... ??
Yes they are irrespective of how functional they or their government are. In either case someone has to bare the responsibility of harbouring terrorists and pay the price or Pakistan would continue to pay the price for her non action and at the same time being blamed from all corners including this so called state called Afghanistan.
On a side note is government of Pakistan functional? I ask this because i only see them functional when its about protecting their corrupt king and bark against opposition specially IK.

You got some swag ma man!

Well if things dont change if corruption prevails and justice is not served if looters are allowed to live like kings! If corrput generals and judges are worshiped then death and destruction is our destiny!!

Look at thr world today terrorism is there because there is no justice! Powerful west world wants to control everything their unconditional support for occupiers like israel has made things worst!

And in real system leaders kings are held accountable! People like zardaris and cowards like army generals are not just hanged but are left to be raped by scorpions!

Allah bless the fallen.
In all honesty, stopping the one lone suicide attacker is impossible for even Western states with far greater resources, let alone Pakistan.
Keep targeting their hideouts, torture their contacts, hang those in prison. It's literally a war of attrition which Pakistan has begun to win.

Pakistan has begun to win ? I disagree.
This has put chances of a international team visiting Pakistan back by atleast a couple of years. Even zimbabwe and bangladesh are regularly hosting international teams.
A blast in the centre of Pakistans most well known city is a massive blow to any image of normality Pakistan might be trying to manage.

You can disagree all you want, the stats say otherwise. You can't argue data.
Yes a blast is a set-back, but looking at the wider picture, it's part of the ongoing efforts. These are last ditch, desperate attempts.

I mean someone has to bare the responsibility of harbouring terrorists

& Who should that 'someone' be ... ??
A sovereign Government ... who still have to claim their sovereignty ON PRACTICAL GROUNDS ...??
OR All of the the FOREIGN Forces involved in Afghanistan COLLECTIVELY...??

Us NATO and the Afghan government. They all share the blame and its their collective duty to stop attacks on other nations specially when they spare no moment to criticize Pakistan. But having said who is going to make the accept this? The government of Pakistan has other priorities and safeguarding Pakistan's interest and her security are not one of them. The institutions of Pakistan for some reason seem OK with facade and fallacy of a government who Punjab law minister are in bed with terrorists. Pakistan first needs to get rid of this internal threat and only than we can focus on the external threat posed to us by this US Afghan and Indian nexus.

There is something very peculiar about what is happening in India and Pakistan. India has a lot of districts in many states completely out of their writ, and there are parallel systems (for e.g. kangaroo courts) running there, and there is little to no government presence.

There is no development in these regions, and no development projects forecasted either. The Indian state is fighting grassroots movements there. It needs to maintain military force there.

There is no such equivalence in Pakistan now. Maybe there was when FATA was in the hands of militants, but not now.

The good thing India has done is to make sure there is little to no infiltration from outside. Look at the Maoists and others, they are fighting with sticks.

While Pakistan is nothing like a security state like India is, it has not done a good enough job to stop the flow of arms and funds from Afghanistan and India respectively.

Express news print addition is saying some of fascilitators... mostly afghan nationals have been caught

Cross border attacks inside Afghanistan to neutralize proxies
I think we are already doing it to some extent, however the proxies can easily move deeper inside Afghanistan where attacking them would mean starting a full scale war.

Full scale war with whom?? And why do we have drones if we are not going to use them
