i do respect MQM for its staunch stance against ''religious'' extremism......despite all odds, theyve done some good things for Karachi
however in Karachi, these youth activists from different political parties are thugs.....gangsters, hooligans.
massive de-weaponization scheme is required immediately; in fact I think MQM is trying to start such a program and i hope to God it works. I'm not so optimistic for the time-being. Vicious cycle --- crime is up because of ease of weapons (part of the reason among many). So people who feel police let them down are arming themselves, which means more demand for weapons of all types and sizes.
Karachi is the financial capital and main operating port city in the country; we cant be having all this bullshyt going on in this city. It's always been a chaotic city for decades, but this type of political violence and terrorism is simply unacceptable. The police and government are failing miserably to protect life and property there.
