Many-a-times Pakistani analysts have raised questions and is reflected here too, on how Tehrike-Taliban Pakistan and Afghan Taliban are two separate entities former fighting against Pakistan for last 3 yrs and the later fighting against invasion forces in Afghanistan(ISAF) since 2001.

As TTP is fighting against Pakistan, it is getting monetary as well as equipment support from India , US and Israel from across the Durand line, and since they are so well funded and equipped, they are able to launch devastating attacks.

But I would like to question those analysts, on how they think Afghan Taliban is able to supports it war in Afghanistan, who is funding them and supplying them, as they have been able to launch equally devastating (if not more), attacks in Afghanistan?

At least we can be sure Americans , Indians won't funding them at least, to have devastating attacks inflicted upon themselves.

So do they believe Pakistan is supplying Afghan Taliban?(as I am pretty sure they will averse to supporting this theory)
or
If there exist a third source which is supplying them and if they do, why can't the same third source be supplying Pakistani Taliban as well?

Well, you need to read how the US funds are reaching the Taliban hands, plus you also need to read how the drug trade is filling the coffers of the Taliban and then the money sent to them from abroad through the AQ guys.

And had Pakistan been supplying them weapons, all the official land routes are under the control of Afghanistan forces and US/NATO forces, they can off course detect them if they want, plus they have the best surveillance equipment, if they had wanted, they can off course provide evidence to Pakistan in the form of video or even attack those convoys from air, through ambushes etc etc and implicate Pakistan.

Also, you need to see the Iran supplying weapons to Taliban stories and see what is in them.

International arms dealers have no nationality, they damn care who gets killed from their weapons, even if they are their own countrymen, as long as they have money. And Afghan Taliban are making plenty of money from within Afghanistan to beg us to give them support.

TTP has also many sources for its incomes, local as well as abroad.

Well as far as my study and information from online, printed media and personal contacts go (which are much more reliable though), both are different entities, with different set of targets, different breed of men leading it. Although the top leadership is not aligned with each other, at lower command levels, some crossing of info and other services takes place, but on individual levels, not on the basis of objectives as both have different objectives.

Ridiculing Zia won't led us any where. Can't you see this is exactly what the present govt is doing. The fact of the matter is that we have to realize that bombing FATA is not the solution to this menace. Let me ask you what is our counter terrorism strategy for such attacks? Nothing. What our interior minister has done in the past two years to counter such attacks. We have failed to stop finances for the terrorists. TTP thugs receive a huge part of their finances from Karachi. What our govt has done in past 2 years to stop those finances. We also failed to improve our pathetic judicial system. Several terrorists got acquitted from our courts even their were eye witnesses against them. We also don't have proper low level intelligence network so that we can arrest them before they carry out their acts of terrorism. In short we are incompetent and lack of urgency to meet this challenge. With corrupt and incompetent govt in place it would be very difficult to avoid such type attacks in the future.

I am not ridiculing him. Just pointing out that from where this mess all started. However, you are right. Living in the past won't help us. We need some strategy to counter it and our Govt after it's half term is still unable to come up with any such strategy.

^^^forget the past - once again the civil law-enforcement agency has failed in its job to protect a 'Red-Zone' (high security) -esp since 5-6 militants who were captured and were being interrogated - the security remained lax at best. furthermore, why a CID office in the middle of a 'commercial' zone with 5-star hotels!!!
