Blast at Saudi military academy kills 1

Saudi Arabia's official news agency says a hand grenade exploded during a training session at a military academy in the capital Riyadh, killing one cadet and injuring nine.

The agency quoted an unnamed defense ministry official as saying the explosion was on Tuesday at the King Abdul-Aziz military academy. The official said one of the nine students injured was in serious condition.

Apparently it was a packaging mistake by our Military companies which packed live grenades in place of training ones.

The students in the military school were practicing how to throw grenades and opened the box containing the live grenades marked as training ones from the outside and one exploded in the hands of a cadet.

So much fail in our side, hopefully tougher safety measures will be taken from now on to prevent such a thing from happening again.
