Don't all jump up and down like politicised monkeys. None of us know what has happened. Let there be demand for an independent investigation. Maybe there is cctv or a recording of the interview or something that can shed light on the matter. Until then we are all speculating.

Some thing does not feel right. May be he realized that he is in deep shyt and the only way to get away from the mess is to become a victim, so he jumped from the fourth floor.

Only a DSP can register the FIR of section 295C. Highest police official of a district prosecutes and investigates the matter according to criminal procedure code. The law is the most looked after law and its procedure is most transparent unlike any other law.

The suspect should be provided the best of chance to prove his innocence and they should form a JIT if FIA is proven guilty in this case. The responsible FIA officials should be given punishment for their act. But all of these things cannot save a blasphemer from punishment. We cannot abolish section 302 just because it is misused in police stations.
