BLA warns people to quit security forces​

QUETTA: The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) on Tuesday warned the people of Balochistan to quit working for law-enforcement agencies or “the BLA will kill them”. BLA spokesman Bibarg Baloch told Daily Times that Baloch people should quit their jobs in the army, Frontier Corps and police, adding that people should also refrain from seeking jobs in the law-enforcement agencies. The BLA threatened to “kill everyone who does not pay heed to its warning”. He also asked the people not to stand near police or security checkposts, to avoid collateral damage that might result because of the BLA’s plans to target security forces. “Regular attacks will take place on government installations and policemen. The BLA feels sorry for innocent people who are often killed in attacks on security forces,” he said. Responding to a statement by Pakistan People’s Party (Balochistan) President Haji Lashkari Raisani that the people of Balochistan would take to task the elements targeting government installations and security forces, Bibarg said, “Raisani has said that the Baloch people do not need the BLA. We are fighting a war of independence for achieving the great cause of liberation.” He rejected a claim by PPP leader Dr Babar Awan that there were no separatist tendencies in Balochistan, saying Awan was oblivious of the ground realties. staff report

The "ground realities" are that despite all the criticism directed by the then opposition and media over the Baluchistan operation and the killing of Bugti, Musharraf's party (PML-Q) was the largest single party in Baluchistan.

The remainder was made up of moderate parties like the PPP, and together with the PML-Q, it can be argued that the moderates won an overwhelming mandate from the people of Baluchistan.

I think it is the BLA that needs a reality check. The public sentiment in Pakistan has turned against the Taliban and AQ after the horrors of last year. Targeting Baluchistan natives, as the BLA indicated it would do, will only serve to further isolate it in Baluchistan and destroy the group.

Admitting they cause collateral damage and dont intend to do a damn thing about it wasnt very clever. They pretty much admit that Baluchis are not interested in their movement so now they are using threats.

what's funny is that these BLA members claim to be fighting for the rights of the inhabitants of Gwadar. they get no support at all from the inhabitants of Gwadar, some of which became millionaires over night.

I still think the PA has done and is doing a poor job of eliminating these crackpots. we should boost our intelligence, further develop our counter-terrorism tactics, promote anti-BLA propoganda, and much more to crush this movement.

there are overwhelming balochi populations in karachi who have nothing, but support for pakistan. they should at least help the rest of the baloch population with money and education.

Wow they must be feeling the heat from the Baloch who are joining our armed services and other enforcement agencies on mass. It is through them we have been able to destroy their operating bases, arrest wanted felons and encourage mass surrenders.

These are desperate words and that of a dying movement that is begging its people not to join Pakistan’s forces.

They get no support because they are funded to carry out the Agenda of the Afghans and Indians.

Most Baloch can be reasoned with. PPP govt has been making all of the right noises and in the past, disgruntled Baloch elements have made peace when made similar offers. The only reason these **** for brains BLA arseholes insist on this BS "Liberation for Baloch" mantra is because they are being paid and asked to continue to stir trouble by the above mentioned countries.

Although not suggesting a direct link, but I think if Balochistan keeps on getting disturbed, our neighbors will also feel some discomfort.
