The officer never commanded him to drop the gun.

he said (its a I say, you say situation) he yell out the command drop it, or put it down, the CCTV recording show evidence of the word "down" has been said, so yes, he have commanded either Crawford to get down or put down the weapon. This is on the benefit of the doubt, as if the officer only say down like the CCTV caught, he either was ordinging Crawford to go down or drop the rifle down, he did not complied to either.

Exactly what the officer said we will never know, we are not there, but judging from the CCTV footage, he said something to the effect of down, and he did not do either. That's the probably the only thing we know for sure.

Footage has emerged of police in Ohio aggressively questioning the girlfriend of a man who they had just shot dead for holding a BB gun in a Walmart store.

An officer from the Beavercreek department repeatedly demands to know where the slain John Crawford III, 22, got his 'gun' from in an interview with his weeping girlfriend, Tasha Thomas.

Thomas, who is not told until the end of the interview that her loved one has died, is clearly distressed by the line of question from the disbelieving officer, Rodney Curd, who repeatedly suggests she is lying.

This woman's boyfriend was just shot dead. That cop is not showing any empathy, worse, he is fishing for something to let his fellow white cop off the hook. This guy is a sociopath.

This is the classic case where a white police officer is threatening a black person with arrest unless he/she says what he wants to hear.
Black folks falsely convicted always complain about this tactic used by white cops.

Just the other day I picked up some rounds from a Walmart. I noticed a toy gun ( opened from a package) looking like an AR on a shelf next to me . It looked so real I reached down to pick it up to take a better look. Then it hit me like a bolt of a lightning, "I do not want to die in a Walmart", I stopped short.

That is exactly what I told the clerk standing in the gun/ammo check-out counter. He thought that was a good idea too. He is a black man.
