BJP should have cancelled that invite. Its really naive on the part of them for not practising what they preach to congress.

I am going to vote for BJP next time. But that doesnt take away the mistake of BJP in this part. Imagine Congress ministers meeting the US delegation, saying the same reason by BJP?

USA have disrespected our diplomat but BJP and Modi have invited US diplomats in the Modi rally at Mumbai.

When asked, Will u cancel the invitation to the US diplomat BJP's official spokesperson says no BJP will not cancel it and BJP will welcome US diplomat despite they ill treated Indian diplomat in USA.

Oh Bhai....when you INVITE someone than it's your duty to make all things in good conduct, esp. when you are inviting a foreign DIGNITARY. How will it sound if on one place you invite someone & then suddenly stop him from coming.....do you do this often at your home??

No. I disagree with this POV.

If you have invited someone to your house, it is because you trust that person and assume there is a mutual respect between them.

However if the person you have invited shows your disrespect and betrays your trust, you sure as hell will withdraw that invitation.

Let me put this in a different way, you invite a person without knowing he is a Rapist. But suddenly you come to know that the person you have invited to your house to meet your wife and daughter is actually someone who is a known Rapist.

Will you then continue to welcome him into your house or will you withdraw the invitation ??

PS: Strip search and cavity search comes under the Indian Legal definition of Rape.

The reason Indians didn't have large grievances was that they never did a large state-to-state project that was mainly for the US strategic objective. Not for the same length as some other countries.

Right now India is perhaps helping in few goals. But grievances start once the US-India project ends and associated money flow or other goodies slows down or stops.


Thus your comparison is based on relatively short term state-to-state project's experience.


Indians in my view are no longer the same goodie goodie softie softie nation from the times of hippy trail.

Things in India have changed if you see stuff on the ground.

So I wouldn't downplay the nationalist reaction I am seeing even from the Indians settled in the USA (let alone the political $hit hitting the fan within India).

Even after the disgrace on and the national the outrage over the treatment meted out to Indian diplomat Deyani Khobragade.

BJP who is known to talk big and doing exactly opposite, now BJP and Narendra Modi have taken another low Modi and BJP is lying down in front of the USA and giving them red carpet welcome.
They want to do the cheap politics and that too in front of international community but their cheap politics is taking place at the cost of national pride and national interest.

Zakir Bhai...I have a respect for your posts...although we fight so much for that lady Devyani...fact is that she made mistake and also...how ever we shout every one knows...US laws and rules are not guided by any country like our nation India to pressure and they will release her...This is just a publicity stunt by the Congress party.....And the funny party is that same lady is an accused in the Adarsh scam in Mumbai along with her father....I was wondering why Congress is approach to the mistreatment towards Indian is always biased....Whenever US human right watch was criticizing Narendra Modi, do not you think Congress should have taken a firm stand that whatever he may be in India, be a good or bad person, for outsiders our GOV should have resisted any attempt to criticize Narendra Modi....Do not you think this is a bad approach....And if congress takes the case by case to show protest depending on its own political calculation then why should every one falls prey to its own mistake?
