BJP Leader Links Eating ‘Poha’ To Being Bangladeshi. Confuses Over Half Of India

Some quick recipes of Chira just came into mind. These are popular items. Dry chira doesnt taste bad either.

But, this idiot and ugly Indian claimed anyone eating Poha is a Bangladeshi. What a bad logic!!

With this idiots logic Modi is a Bangladeshi as well.

In a recent interview, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed his favourite dishes and also expressed his love for cooking. "At home I would prepare my own tea. I love to cook khichdi, which is my favourite food. Earlier, I used to wake up at 4.30 in the morning and I would clean the entire house and prepare tea for everyone. I would then wake others at 5.20 am and serve them the tea. After returning from a short walk outside, I would cook the breakfast. Poha is another dish which I love to eat. I read the newspaper only after completing all these chores. This was my daily routine for two and a half years," revealed Modi in the interview.

Now that the prime minister has revealed his favourite dishes, poha and khichdi have become the current gastronomic super stars. Khichdi is known for the similar ways in which it is prepared everywhere in India. It must, however, be noted that the khichdi has got nothing to do with our 'kichadi' which is served as one of the dishes in the elaborate Kerala sadya (feast). Khichdi is a nutritious dish which is prepared using rice and lentils and has a porridge-like consistency. The dish looks and tastes similar to pongal, a popular rice dish in Tamil Nadu. Check out these easy recipes of khichdi and poha:

Ingredients for khichdi

khichdi.jpg

½ cup rice

½ cup lentils (yellow split dal or urad dal)

1 tsp cumin

Finely chopped onion

Half inch piece of ginger (finely chopped)

1 green chilli

1 tomato

½ tbsp turmeric powder

Pinch of asafetida

Salt as required

Preparation

Wash the rice and lentils well and soak them

Heat up a pressure cooker and dry roast the cumin in it

Add the onions and cook until they turn translucent

Into it add the ginger, green chili and tomato

Add turmeric powder and asafetida and mix well

Now add the drained rice and lentils along with salt as required

Add water just enough to cover the ingredients and close the lid of the pressure cooker

Pressure cook until the cooker gives off 6-7 whistles

If there isn't enough water, add as required and mix everything well.

Ingredients for poha

poha.jpg

1 ½ cup flattened rice (white)

½ tsp turmeric powder

½ tsp sugar

2 potatoes (boiled)

1 onion

½ roasted peanuts

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp crushed black pepper corns

Curry leaves

1 green chilli (as per taste)

2 tsp lime juice

Preparation

Wash the flattened rice in a sieve and leave it to dry for 5 minutes

Mix turmeric powder, sugar and salt with it

Heat oil in a pan and fry the boiled potatoes

Add some salt and chilli powder while frying the potatoes

Heat oil in another pan and sauté cumin, black pepper corns, green chili, curry leaves and onion

Into it add the roasted peanuts and fry for 2 minutes (cashews could be added instead of peanuts)

Toast the fried potatoes and flattened rice until they are heated up. Do not overcook the flattened rice

Add the lemon juice and toast well

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.

Wtf ?

Khichri in Pakistan looks so different.
Its basically boiled white rice with some lentils & mostly given to babies or when someones got a bad stomach.

Poha/chiru? What is that? Never seen “flattened rice”, how exactly is it flattened? By boiling it and than pressing it and drying it?

Doesnt it go bad? I mean cold rice below chunkish/solid.

I was about to say, Khichri is not porridge like. Indians took a great dish and have destroyed it again.

Flattened rice happens when someone put too much water into the rice, lol. Now its Modi's favorite dish.

No wonder Indians can't cook. Between Pakistanis and Bangladeshi cuisine, Indian food is subpar and unhealthy.

.
BD Bengalis have a better choice of fish--->Hilsa....WB Bengali have good mutton based dishes....Though I am "ghoti" and have no connection with BD, I feel very proud that BD is progressing rapidly...I hope BD is gifted with immense political stability..I hope the conflicts between two "Didis" are resolved (Mamata didi and Haseena didi)...

I personally have a wish to ordain as a Buddhist monk in Bangladesh during the last years of my life, even if that means saying (partial) goodbye to my family... Giving back to the land, the people and reviving the glories of the Pala Empire

I personally feel that the rise of Bangladesh is the second glorious time of this region after the peak of the Pala Empire

This is not different than the warm feelings a Pashtun on this side of the Durand Line would get when he hears news of a rising, booming Afghanistan

PS: My patience is wearing thin on these casteist N.Indian and W.Indian louts

Come to think about it Bangladesh does have a chance of becoming the first developed country in South Asia but politically will remain irrelevant in terms flexing muscles geo politically

They are the only ones along with Maldives,Bhutan that come close to embodying the Westphalian Nation State concept in South Asia...Not mired in Bureaucratic logjams that Bigger countries of South Asia suffer from...SL still might beat them, but you do any shopping these days in Germany...90 percent chance that the clothes in big stores like H&M's,ESPRIT etc come from Bangladesh..Their electronics manufacturer Walton is making big moves as well ...

Quite frankly they donot have anyother option...global warming has put them on a notice...it is either be a first world nation or die for them.....They would have to more or less match the pace of Singapore from 1960 to 2000 to stand a chance

.
should have written right side or eastern side...my bad

Further what right do you have to talk about Pukhtoons.

There is a big difference between Pukhtoons and the state in Kabul dominated by Tajiks, Parsiwans, and Kabulie.

Taliban success is celebrated in all corners of Pakistan and Pukhtoon areas of Afghanistan.

the same right you have talking about Indians......I donot doubt that Taliban success is celebrated in all corners of Pakistan, since Taliban can deliver a better state for all Pakistanis compared to the present dispensation
