Now...BJP should learn from its mistakes....The only chance to get at least same votes as last time is to at least patch with Yedurapa and ask Yedurapa to play a secord fiddle work with Shettar to get a good result in Lok Shabha...In state election...BJP is lost now...No chance to regain power..

this was bound to happen, Gadkari let Yeda Yeddy do drama, throw tantrums for more than one year.... Yeda Yeddi should have been removed from CM position and party as soon as charges were against him..... the big gamble of convincing him did not work, instead showed BJP in bad faith to the people of Karnataka.... if BJP projects itself alternative to CONgress, then they have to be different and not let such incidents happen....

true , bjp has been badly defeated in corporation elections . I think the state bjp leaders are to be blamed here , people are saying bjp gonna 100% loose in the next state elections and cong will come to power . But i feel jagdish shettar deserves a second chance , he is a man with clean character much better than yeddy .

Not just the state BJP, even the national team is responsible. They gave in to Yeddy's blackmail and lost all credibility. They had to spare Congress at national level in corruption cases because of the hypocrisy. If only they went for elections soon after Yeddy and Reddy blackmail, they would have been much better.

They got Karnataka with a stroke of luck. Surprising to see they gave up the gains like idiots.

Yeddy is the man. He wont play any second fiddle. He is too overconfident about his cash rich supporters. Patching with Yeddy will lose more votes now instead of gaining.

The BJP did not just win in Karnataka because of Yediyurappa, the man became known after the BJP formed a government with the JD(S) & he was the deputy CM. He became CM only because of the massive outpouring of sympathy because of the boorish way in which Deve Gowda & his son acted when it was their turn to give power to Yeddy. The BJP's performance was due to the charisma of just one man, Atal Behari Vajpayee. In 2004, the very well thought of & popular CM S.M. Krishna, inspite of his good work lost to the charisma of "Ajja"(grandfather) with the BJP winning 17 of the 28 seats & doing well(not as well as in the LS) in assembly elections held simultaneously, one of the rare cases where all those who voted for Vajpayee at the centre did not necessarily cast their vote for the state BJP. The BJP built on that lucky break to eventually form the government in Karnataka. They then proceeded to squander all that goodwill, both with allowing lumpen goonda elements like Sri Ram Sena a free run as well as indulging in the most massive corruption ever in the history of Karnataka. I simply don't buy that this was just the fault of state leaders, the national leaders were aware & acquiesced in the loot by their silence. We are now being told that the cetral leaders of the BJP who will form the bulk of any NDA government will take tough decisions & prove themselves competent administrators. The record in Karnataka belies that hope. If the leaders had no guts and no conviction to stop the loot in the state, I for one am not about to believe that they will suddenly grow a pair when the government at the centre is at stake.

Although I hate to admit....But i fear that it is going to happen...And the worst thing might happen is that Rahul will not be the PM rather he will be the power center and he will appoint a dummy man like MMS is PM now....Real voting class India is still illegerate buinch who ll vote flr Congi.
