As a Pakistani holding citizenship within two countries I completely agree with this decision.

It would also be great if the financial histories of all of them were monitored by law and there was a ban imposed on any secret “rendezvous”, meetings along with full disclosure of unscheduled conversations with foreign diplomats, military personnel, etc... was also required.

@forcetrip, @RescueRanger: Please do clarify: is it possible for a Dual Nationality person to serve in the Armed Forces or Judiciary or Bureaucacy in Pakistan?

Well if they are drafting a bill to stop it from happening, I would say its true :woot: Am surprised how people in Pakistan didn't have much of an issue with this up until now!

Not in the armed forces but judiciary and bureaucrats are finding loop holes to undermine this process. Even some retired top soldiers seem to have moved to the States and greener pastures which kind of makes me think of what they thought they were defending if they saw a future in another country.

This country has nothing at the moment. The only thing going for it is a huge under utilized population which wants to do religion today cause that is their future for them and their children. Now imagine a semi literate person who has no ties to this country and come leads this flock of retarded people anyway he can to further his future along with his children in a country of their choosing. This is not a developed country which should be allowed to do things like other countries. Its sometimes tough for me to consider both India and Pakistan as developing countries. There has to be a purge of elements who keep enormous amount of our population hostage to exploit it according to the very few in who have started to put roots in other countries.

All of your points above make sense to me.
But the question that I have in my mind is: is it possible for a Dual Nationality person to serve in the Armed Forces , Judiciary and Bureaucracy in Pakistan?

I've already seen that Dual Nationality persons are/were able to be part of the Legislature and Diplomatic Service of Pakistan.

I think I answered that. Dual National cannot serve in the military. It looks like it is allowed in the judiciary. They are failing to clamp down on the dual nationals in bureaucracy which is not allowed. Or so I know. Someone else could fill in or correct me if I am wrong.

Isnt there is already a clause about such restriction? If not then good initiative..

This is how it should have been for last 50 years, but at this point I have a problem with this bill. Highly educated and experienced Pakistani who was to relocate back to Pakistan but dont want to give up 2nd citizenship. Instead all these jobs should have some kind of residency requirements, lets say staying in Pakistan for last 3 years. As we know Pakistan have a huge brain drain problem which is evident form so many posts here :)

One step at a time. Rome wasn't built in a day.
There has been a problem with the certification for khatme nabua'at. An officer doesn't have to declare whether his wife also holds this view.
