Europe and Asia are one continent - Eurasia. There is no any geographic reason to divide Eurasia in two parts.

Technically there is 1 continent Earth but humans like to dice and slice with their borders. All borders are political, not natural.

Russia mainland has river from the top to the bottom. It's not like you can walk from Vladivostok to Moscow because of river. So what? Mainland Russia is made up of different continents?

Agreed. As @undertakerwwefan says "borders are political". I particulary finding it annoying the use of 'Middle East, Far East" etc. Or how Turkey is often bracketed as Europe when the Anatolia is the region that gave name to Asia.

Technically, canals such as the Panama canal and the Suez canal are internal waters. They belong to countries. So canals are not natural basis for continents like North America, South America, Africa, Asia.

There is river running down mainland Russia. As a result, you cannot walk from Moscow to Vladivostok. Does this mean mainland Russia is 2 continents? Nope.

And there is no natural basis for Oceania continent either.
