Her era was known for corruption on an unprecedented scale.
This so called bridge between east and west was not at all a sincere and honest person.
Changing the name of everything to Benazir is part of Dirty
Z's plan to make this country easier for him to influence politically and legitimize his children as the political elite of this country.
Even a person like BB had the decency not to name such a prominent thing as the airport or murree road after her dad who still was a leader of altogether different caliber.
But for Zardari, he needs to replace Zulfiqar Bhutto's name with Benazir to make his offspring the ones who inherit Zulfiqar's party and followers (Zulfiqar Bhutto's grandchildren through his son are still alive).
While i can sympathize with the manner of her death (even though i strongly disliked her) there are thousands of innocent Pakistanis who were victim of the same fate. No memorial for any of them so far and this wonder woman got 200 million rupees spent on her tomb, you think Zardari contributed a penny?
We have many heroes in our history who deserve our praise and respect and Benazir is as far from that list as Pluto is from the sun.
As far as the power issue is concerned.
My friends let us not be so forgiving towards the current regime!
Certainly they promised change and also highlighted the start of energy shortage as one of Musharraf's many failings.

Worst-ever power crisis feared: Country to face about 4,000 megawatts shortage from December
"Pakistan will face up to 4000 MW power shortage from next month (December) and those ministers, who are taking credit for narrowing the gap between demand and supply of energy, will no longer be in a position to defend the government policies," the sources added. It is predicted that rural areas will have to face up to 15 hours of load shedding per day in winter, whereas cities will remain dark for six to eight hours a day.
Irsa estimates that in January, outflows from Tarbela and Mangla reservoirs will be around 5000 cusecs each, which effectively means that hydel power generation will be at a low level. A couple of months ago, Irsa projected 35 per cent shortfall in water availability in December, January and February.
Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf had blamed the Musharraf regime for not inducting even a single unit in the power generation system, but two days ago the Ministry of Water and Power in a written reply to the National Assembly refuted the claim of its own Ministry.
The ministry conceded that 2200 MW power had been injected in the system during the last seven years.
According to the Ministry of Water and Power, the total quantity of electric power installed capacity in the country is 19,671 MW, with hydel 6444 MW, thermal 4840 MW, IPPs (thermal) 6196 MW, IPPs (hydel) 30 MW and rental power plants 285 MW. Raja Pervez Ashraf informed the National Assembly that 650 MW electricity would be added to the national grid by December 2009.
