New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) India Monday expressed concern over Pakistan illegally modifying US-supplied Harpoon anti-ship missiles to hit land-based targets, saying this was 'against India's national interest'.

'This is the danger of proliferation that we have been mentioning to America that whatever you have given to Pakistan will not be used in self defence. This (modification of the Harpoon missile) has nothing to do with self defence and is against India's national interest,' said outgoing Indian Navy chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta, who retired Monday.

Yes thats the point. Every country has problems. Like Pakistan India has problems within. But we try to resolve them not to increase them. But your politicians have made puppet of your army to American will. And if they follow the will of the common man and go for arms and ammunition it impacts the image at the international level and funding. (Now please dont say we dont need funding. May be in future you dont need it but right now its the need for the hour)Thanks to India. And if they dont then its the security issue as well as perception of people.

So you can go ahead and present the same to international community and say Indian nukes are not safe. They should be disarmed. Foreign Investments should be avoided. India is a dangerous place to live. Let them say so. Because we still see India as a preferred destination for business by multinationals despite being such a dangerous place.

Actually the problem is in India no government bows to the demads of some Taliban. Nor in India can a group issue fatwah against the girls going to school and people follow it. There is no parallel government in India.
