You are right, the letter was written by the Ghaziabad CMO. But that does not mean he could not be a BJP or RSS member. As I said, the rot in the community is so deep that it would not be beyond these rascals to fabricate such lies.
Moreover, his claims have not been verified by any other hospital staff.
Those who know Tableeghi Jamaatis, know that these people are the most pacifist, the most respectful and do not even look at a woman that is not related to them.
They are nothing like the Hindu sadhus that roam around naked in the country with no shame, exposing their tiny little nothings.
Not everything written down on a piece of paper makes it factual, and not every titleholder who makes statements means he speaks the truth.
Just look back at the colorful, primitive vocabulary of the PM of India, and his threats and hate-mongering throughout his political career.
In the US even, look how many court proceedings are against the Trump administration for lies and manipulations.
Tabligh Jamaat are not a centralized organization, each operate independently at the discretion of their local emir. Most also spurn politics and concentrate on bringing people to masajid, personal zikr, and elating virtues of Islamic history and personalities. They are very simple, bare-bones, easy to understand religious group which hopes to strengrhen faith among relapsed Muslims or prevent Muslims from lapsing.
They even avoid controversial subjects which most other groups feel gives them intellectual prowess and which some groups spend their lives trying to convince others they are wrong.
These allegations make absolutely no sense. It goes against everything Islam teaches.
Everything is falling in places...this hatred and vilification campaign against Muslims is good, better still against the Tableeghi Jamaat.
More no holds barred hate campaign against Indian Muslims will make them wake up to the realization and throwaway the 'we can still make it through' ideas in India.
The extremist rightist Hindutva will give rise to a more radical Islam...for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. And with the shape of things to come this all looked like what is prophecised and predicted...planned and doable.
Indian Muslims and Bangladeshis are much more active in Dawat than are Pakistanis. Tabligh is much more popular there. I have met many beautiful people from those countries doing great dawat in the US.
I am not Tablighi, but I do respect them. In addition to my secular professional life, I am more involved in Deobandi thought which I feel is more about fiqh issues and political.
Here in Pakistan, Deobandi groups form the bulk of dawat and khatiras, the discourse is usually much deeper and dealing with more controversial issues and political problems. Maybe this is the result of having freedom in an Islamic nation.
Both societies face different challenges, but I think most Pakistanis stay with Tabligh in some part of their lives for spiritual brotherhood and to be around pious people.
