Wrong approach.
Simply look at the language of rohingya. Its a Chittagong dialect (certainly nothing close to Ghoti Bengali). They would feel most at home there in that area...linguistically and culturally.
BD after all separated from its first 2 wing 20th century nationstate on basis of its language getting trampled on/repressed in their own words (among other reasons)...so "home of islam" is no longer really a relevant purity test for the nation's raison d'etre.
Thus language is adequate and relevant logic to be expanded for these people since they have made it clear from very start they dont like to live in Burma as mere equals with same unified code and politics (like when they pushed for same 2 wing nation to annex Arakan first thing without giving Burma a chance to develop as a nation)...and harbor grudges and violent tendencies based on that complex.
