It's not a single country.
It's East Asia-ASEAN.
U cannot create a new chain in another subcontinent.
One country can have some of their own manufacturing for domestic need.
But if u want to produce for the world, it's impossible to escape from East Asia-ASEAN manufacturing chain.

Well integrating our chain fully with east Asia will be a suicide for our Industry & and option I.e building the wholething in India will take to much time & money.better to go for the middle way

Comparing India and Vietnam in manufacturing is like comparing Apples with Oranges.

India's manufacturing strength lies in Pharmaceuticals and Vehicles.

Vietnam's manufacturing to knowledge is concentrated in electronics.
