Then God instructs Muhammad that his task is only to remind people. The human beings by nature are forgetful and by habit preoccupied and caught up with the concerns of the world. They are also accountable for making their own decisions.

“Remind them

All you can do is be a reminder

Over them you have no power.” (21-23)
And then the sura ends with the final reminder.

“Indeed to us they will return
Then indeed with us will be their accounting.” (25-26)[1]

This debate about Shariah vs Secularism is ludicrous & even more disturbing are the Muslims who fall into this - Neither Secularism nor Islamism are our creation; we never had an ecclesiastical order that governed us for which we needed to evolve the notion of a Separation of Mosque & State as Christiandom did after the Reformation Movement.

Likewise the notion that Shariah is something different than Law or that Islamic Finance is something separate from Finance as opposed to being Legal & Economic paradigms respectively was an immature reaction of the Muslim World to the West.

We need to stop looking at our affairs in this Binary fashion of what is Islamic & what is Secular because it doesn't make any sense !

nation state concept - inclusive, modern, like a jet plane

Allah will punish them(whoever disobeys him) in the afterlife ... But the point is ...No one has the right to "forcibly implement" Shariah in this world , not even Muhammad (pbuh) himself ...(as per Quran)

There are immense good things in present form of secular governments in the western democracies, which are totally compatible with Islamic Jurisprudence [ shariat ]

The Arabic word "Musaitir" has been used by almighty , which can be translated as a "controller , warder , dictator , dominator or superintendent of police"

In Islam there is no "inheritor". That was a concept in pagans.

Pagans believed that they rulers and big name Mullahs are sons of God

With Islam, all those idols were broken.

Knowledge was freed from the clutches of the likes of pope and padri

Now you and I could open Quran and see there is no Mullah, there is no Ayatullah.

It is between individual and God.
