Best countries to live in outside of UK?

No bias but Turkey has to be the best country to live outside of UK. The food, climate, culture, historic sites. It has everything.

Absolutely true. Turkey is the best even when compared to UK. You forgot extremely friendly warm loving people part. Turkey is heaven when considering people . I received more love in Turkey in one month, than I would get in Pakistan in a whole year. I am tempting to settled down there.

my brother, I have skills I compare myself with English guys but guess what they exploit your labour and say bye once they got what they want. I volunteered at two places helped them improve etc and set up a project and then it was goodbye. we don't need you now or sorry we can't give you job because someone else got it but the truth is they give to their own. I am entitled to complain especially two years of free labour, then they nicely said fcuk off. Alhamdulillah, I now have a new job(paid), just waiting to be called in.

One thing I tell every young person is that work comes first. Never be late, or leave early. Out perform your colleagues, almost as a religion. Doesn't matter where you're from, your boss will pick you over anybody else.

I remember on a job when me and a fellow brown man were working. Two other workers (english) spent their time chatting to the boss. Us two simply knocked the work out. After a few days the boss let the two English guys 'go'. As they walked out they said to us, ' thanks for doing us out of work.' The boss ( English) motioned to the other two and said to us ' They talk a good job, don't they.'

Simply out produce anybody else.

but from experience, if your brown work your a ss off, outperform. They still pick their own even though they come pist to work. This is why I want to move out to diff country. I m tired of bull sh it from these kinds of ppl. I even had my mum make loads of kebabs to plz these *** oles. Your own is just as bad because they have a white inferiority complex and will pik them. I observe my surroundings, spoke to other brown ppl they also complain righteously, that boss piking his own kind to move up or job yet they don't have any qualifications or experience. 90 to 95% percent brown man with education will be asda shelf stacking.

Which I noted. Turkey is glorious. As I said I placed it behind Ireland because of the percieved fear of political troubles from ME sand the Kurdish issue. Other then that Turkey might as well be the best place in the world to love ~ ahead of UK. Brough up in UK there is element of incumbency. This is familiar, your roots/family are here. But sans that Turkey is numero uno.

You lucky, lucky things.

*Mmm that reminds of Almaz song. Just place 'Turkey' there.

Keep in mind men like Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, Admiral Amjad Hussain Royal Navy, Sajid Javed Chancellor of Exchequer. All of Pakistani extraction. Sadiq and Javed's dads were I believe bus drivers. And look what they did. One became mayor of the greatest city in the world and other rose to top of the political ladder as second to Boris Johnson PM asc his Chancellor of Exchquer. Let such examples inspire you. Do not let your immediate circumstances arrest your hopes and aspirations. There is a big world full of opportunities and you have to grab it. Nobody is gonna hand it to you.
Yeah, I count myself lucky, having cousins in Istanbul, Izmir etc. For me the price is just what makes it number one. Everything is cheaper compared to UK.

Dude. Just learn little of Turkish and it would be best place to settle. But, there're still lots of English speakers though.
Only downside of Turkey is not really multicultural like UK. But everything else beats UK I say.

I am a Software QA Tester, plus ACCA qualified from UK.
Softwareqa. - man!
How much experience you got as a QA

This is by far the best non war thread ever I lived 7 years in London and moved out to EU right after brexit. This was the best thing happened to me. In learning the local.langiage but at least here is no oppression to speak in English or in any one one language.
UK was good but brexit etc have made it crap. It will only get worse. But it's stil better for. Muslims ( or not anymore since I'm away for 3 years now). I'm v surprised and also happy to see this question. British are expolitative nation by nature.they try to do it at every level. UK is over crowded and v expensive. being out of EU and Scotland kicking the jelly English *** might leave the UK no where. English bosses are a pain in ***. They never give straight feedback. Whole world is pissed off because of their twisted attitude and feedback. They sly many times.
Bottom line , English and England are a pain

What surprised me is that none has mentiioned Asia such as China and Singapore. There are many opportunities in those countries. There are huge halal restaurants in Beijing. U might not get great work life balance as on the EU.
Turkey - I have been told that it's better u work in the EU with your big beard. It's harder to work in tuurkey since I won't get any job. But weatherwise and being s Muslim , it's just great.
I would say stay in the EU. Try Germany or netherlands. South has great weather and warmth in people but not much jobs and money. Else.i would.never live.in north
.I been a web/software developer / API developer / distributed systems developer for 15 years

You really don't want to work in Turkey, if you could work in EU. I mean, you make money in EU and then settle in Turkey.
If it were good for work too, there'd be no Turks in EU lol.

That's not entirely true. I was not born in UK. I was born and educated in Pakistan. Moved to UK few years ago. I have worked in one of the most competitive fields (one of the big 4 practices) in UK and outperformed my white, black and brown colleagues. I always got the recognition, reward and respect for my work. So i can say with personal experience that if you are good, you get the reward.

my experience says the opposite, although it is subjective.

Bro, I don't know which Northern town your in, but if you can, move. In the bigger cities people are a lot more accepting and there is an abundance of work. In my entire life I can't say I've ever felt discrimination in the workplace. I live in a small city in the Midlands, but there are a cluster of cities here close to each other, which means lots of work.

Regards to promotions, ive always switched companies, quickest way to bump up your salary.

If you're not married and your parents don't depend on you, move out, make a career for yourself.

As in traditional QA testing or do you mean automated testing in CI systems, as DevOps environments like to operate?

I suspect most people are traditional QAs, though automated skills are a necessity now. CI has become pretty mainstream too, but devops seems a bit "flavour of the month". I think it's around to stay though, just not suitable for all orgs.
