Infamous Bermuda triangle

What is the Bermuda Triangle? Patate, listen carefully! Obviously, it is a geographical location linking Florida, Puerto Rico and the Bermudas. It covers just about 500 000 square km of the Atlantic Ocean. Here is the catch: This area of the ocean has been the scene of several mysterious disappearances over the last 100 years. A short list? Here it is
Beechcraft N9027Q, Feb.11 1980
Piper Cherokee N3527E, March 26, 1986
Jamanic K Motor vessel, March 20, 1995
Cesna 210, drops off radar on june 14, 1999

Scary? Mysterious? Unexplainable? Not at all! I had the amazing idea to register for an Environmental geology class this semester. I will never again be mesmerized be the Bermuda Triangle myth! Scientifically and geographically explained, the strange phenomenon is surprisingly easy to understand! Here it goes!
METHANE GAS HYDRATES!!!
This area of the ocean has large concentrations of methane gas trapped in the ocean floor. The gas is due to dying and decomposing sea organisms which are buried in the sediments. The sediments contain bacteria that produce methane, which accumulates as super concentrated methane ice, called gas hydrates. Within seconds of a methane gas ‘’bubble’’ rupturing, the gas will surge up to the surface of the ocean without warning. Any ship located above such a rupture would immediately sink to the ocean floor and would very rapidly be covered with sediments! Even planes flying above could catch fire following such a blow-out!
There you have it!
The infamous Bermuda Triangle is no longer a mystery to you!

Flight 19
Flight 19 was a training flight of TBM Avenger bombers that went missing on December 5, 1945 while over the Atlantic. The squadron's flight path was scheduled to take them due east for 120 miles, north for 73 miles, and then back over a final 120-mile leg that would return them to the naval base, but they never returned. The impression is given[citation needed] that the flight encountered unusual phenomena and anomalous compass readings, and that the flight took place on a calm day under the supervision of an experienced pilot, Lt. Charles Carroll Taylor. Adding to the intrigue is that the Navy's report of the accident was ascribed to "causes or reasons unknown."

Adding to the mystery, a search and rescue Mariner aircraft with a 13-man crew was dispatched to aid the missing squadron, but the Mariner itself was never heard from again. Later, there was a report from a tanker cruising off the coast of Florida of a visible explosion[32] at about the time the Mariner would have been on patrol.

While the basic facts of this version of the story are essentially accurate, some important details are missing. The weather was becoming stormy by the end of the incident, and naval reports and written recordings of the conversations between Taylor and the other pilots of Flight 19 do not indicate magnetic problems.[33]

USS Cyclops

The incident resulting in the single largest loss of life in the history of the US Navy not related to combat occurred when USS Cyclops, under the command of Lt Cdr G. W. Worley, went missing without a trace with a crew of 309 sometime after March 4, 1918, after departing the island of Barbados. Although there is no strong evidence for any single theory, many independent theories exist, some blaming storms, some capsizing, and some suggesting that wartime enemy activity was to blame for the loss.[37][38]

Douglas DC-3
On December 28, 1948, a Douglas DC-3 aircraft, number NC16002, disappeared while on a flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Miami. No trace of the aircraft or the 32 people onboard was ever found. From the documentation compiled by the Civil Aeronautics Board investigation, a possible key to the plane's disappearance was found, but barely touched upon by the Triangle writers: the plane's batteries were inspected and found to be low on charge, but ordered back into the plane without a recharge by the pilot while in San Juan. Whether or not this led to complete electrical failure will never be known. However, since piston-engined aircraft rely upon magnetos to provide spark to their cylinders rather than a battery powered ignition coil system, this theory is not strongly convincing.[41]

There's apart of the Atlanatic Ocean where many small boats, ships and palnes have disappeared, andnobody knowswht. The place is called the Bermude Triangle.
One of the most famous stories about the Bermuda Triangle is the strange disappearance of Flight 19.On 5th December,1945,five planes flew across the Bermuda Triangle. There were fourteen man on on the planes .None of them ever returned home. One of the pilots was heard on his radio. He said that their compass had stopped working .He said taht he wasn't sure where they were Nobody ever found either the bodies of the men ,or any part of the planes. The legend of the Bermuda Triangle had begun!
After this, there were many more stories about strange disappearances.According to these stories, more than fifty ships and twenty planes have disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle in the last hundred years.People wrote about the area in articles and books. There were programmes on Tv and people strted talking about strange forces, aliens and spacecrafts .The mystery grew and grew.
However, there may be natural explanations for the disappearances to.Firstly the weather in the Atlantic can be un predictable. There are often sudden storms.Secondly in that area, the ocean suddenly becomes very deep. This causes all sorts of dangers, especially for small boats .Often the owners of small boats don't know enough about dangers of the area.
Some people argue taht there is no mystry and that nothing needs explaining. They believe that the number of disappearances in the area is not unusual for an area of its size and locaiton .Also, many of the disappearances that have been reported actually happened outside the area of the Bermuda Triangle.
But what about the disappearance of Flight 19?How can we explain that? There was a storm on that day, andthe planes didn't have modern equipment:Perhaps the pilots simply got lost, ran out of fuel and crashed somewhere in the ocean.
One thing is true-people like mysteries:For that reason yhere will always be a mystery about the Bermuda Triangle.

KC-135 Stratotankers
On August 28, 1963 a pair of U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft collided and crashed into the Atlantic. The Triangle version (Winer, Berlitz, Gaddis[5][8][9]) of this story specifies that they did collide and crash, but there were two distinct crash sites, separated by over 160 miles (260 km) of water. However, Kusche's research[11] showed that the unclassified version of the Air Force investigation report stated that the debris field defining the second "crash site" was examined by a search and rescue ship, and found to be a mass of seaweed and driftwood tangled in an old buoy.
