Bengaluru’s New Year Shame – Can India Learn From Pakistan?

You provided no facts. There are no studies, reports or research that looks into these questions in Pakistan.

There are multiple studies, surveys, and demographic reports that reveal that Pakistan's culture is rooted deeply in Islam and that Pakistanis are generally much more traditional in terms of alcohol consumption, sexuality, gender roles, dressing, and so on and so forth.

Basically, we have ample data to show that indian culture is getting westernized and indians losing their traditional culture, while Pakistani culture has held its own against foreign influences for the most part.

Nor are there CCTV cameras in your towns and cities that capture cases of molestation. We do. We have a mechanism to catch the culprits.

LOL, this is what I call ranting. No CCTV cameras in our cities?

Entire command and control center working in our major cities (hundreds of CCTV cameras, integrated real time security feed, and so on).

This is Lahore

This is Karachi

I can post for almost every major city in Pakistan. And this is just integrated, government security command and control centers. We have thousands of CCTVs privately installed by businesses, houses, and street communities everywhere (thanks to a decade of terrorism we all faced until two years ago).

Sorry, but it's not that we don't have CCTV cameras. It's just that we don't molest our women like indians, and our women dress modestly and don't get drunk and wear underwears and shorts to go on roads in order to feel "enlightened" and "free"...

That's why I say that we as a culture are just superior compared to you guys.

Regarding "catching culprits" part..last year, on independence day, one guy picked up a girl as "celebration of independence) (no gropping, no kissing)--just picked up a girl without her consent--and ENTIRE country went ape-shit crazy. Police caught that piece of shit within 24 hours and had to take him into "protection" since people could have seriously harmed that piece of shit for disrespecting/harassing a daughter of nation.

So yes, we not only have absolutely effective security systems--we also have a very good mechanism to catch such culprits. Btw, I can quote multiple cases out of memory (no googling) where rapists got death sentence (Islamic punishment) for their horrific deed. How many of such cases can you quote from recent memory from india? Well, you barely even punish your rapists since there is an epidemic of rapes in your country.

It is a pity that you have such a narrow minded understanding of Western culture

No, I have VERY comprehsensive view of Western culture since I LIVE here. However, it is idiots in third world countries who take a very narrow view of Western culture and western concept of modernization. For example, the western concept of "freedom" is explicibly linked to notion of justice and fariness for all. How many of indians (or Pakistanis for that matter) know this? Merely few, if any. For them, "freedom" means "I am free to do whatever I want as long as I don't impact others and people shouldn't judge me"....But that is not what "freedom" means in Western civilizational context.

And I can go on and on. I am not degrading Western culture. I am insulting ill thoughtout effort of mimicking Western culture without actually understand the western cultural concepts and what context gave rise to them. That is stupid.

What women have here is freedom - to choose to wear a full clothed sari, a salwar, or a skirt or a mini skirt. A part of the society is accepting of this exercise in freedom. A part gets wrong signals. We find it important to blame the latter part instead of the women exercising their freedom. You find it normal in blaming the women instead.

I am not blaming the women per say. Anyways, it's getting too long to lets move on..
Your policy is like this - keep eyes closed and WISH the world is fine.

Wrong.

We have our eyes opened and we are absolutely confident in our local culture and traditions (hence our culture is thriving). We don't "wish" for anything by closing our eyes. We exercise our day to day life in according to our local culture by our CHOICE.

indians on the other hand are just getting run over by negative foreign social influences that does not fit with the local indian context. And worst thing is that they see it as "progress" while the outside world laughs at them.

Ok, just go to a rural town in Pakistan, attach a CCTV and grab/molest/kiss a woman on the street like you do in India.

The footage will go viral for "public lynching of an Indian man". :D

With so many honor killings, rapes, and disfigurements, It makes me laugh when Pakistanis act as if women in Pakistan are safe.

Every culture evolves over time some rapidly and some at snail pace. How long can you isolate your entire population from outside influence?? In India we are witnessing a rapid assimilation of western ideas and influences especially in our urban population. How we adapt to modern pace of living and still retain semblance of Indian culture is being tested. No doubt about that . India is resilient and our culture is resilient and we well come out stronger.

Media will highlight few cases and people start to paint entire culture as gloom and doom.

According to you rape and molestation should not happen in Islamic Pakistan. Yet we see more rapes and molestations in Pakistan than in India. According to statistics (2010) Pakistan was in top 10 countries when it comes to rapes committed per 100,000 people. It was 28 for Pakistan and 0.4 for India. According to DAWN some 15,000 cases of women, girls and children kidnappings took place in Punjab Pakistan in 2015 and 2000 of these victims were raped.

You seriously believe that Pakistan, an Islamic society where rape carries death punishment, will have more rapes than india, where women assaults are NORMAL part of everyday routine?

Pakistan isn't the top ten worst countries of the world when it comes to rapes. The dawn article is talking about a POLITICAL statement by an opposition party. Opposition leader is saying Pakistan has become worst country of the world in terms of rapes because of the failure of this government. You know how rhetoric works in subcontinent. It's a rhetorical jib at the government, not a statistical report by any credible organization.

For that, let's look at the most latest 2015 data from both countries by official and credible independent bodies.

In 2015

INDIA: 34,651 rapes were reported according to the official statistics (National Crime Records Bureau)

PAKISTAN: 727 rapes were reported according to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan

So india has 47x more rapes reported as compared to Pakistan!

What barbaric backward savages :lol::lol:

INDIA: 34,651 rapes were reported according to the official statistics (National Crime Records Bureau)

PAKISTAN: 1,582 rapes were reported according to the independent NGO's and organizations in the country (while offical statistics were a bit lower)

So india has 21X times more rapes reported as compared to Pakistan!

Again, little one, I never said India has less rapes than Pakistan. Of course India has a problem.

HOWEVER, does India need to look for solutions towards a lawless Pakistan whose very own record is, ahem, not so stellar? eh?

When you are failing in class, do you look towards the topper for inspiration or towards the guy barely trudging along with third division?

Ok I will play the devil's advocate here. Is it not a tradition in the West that on new year's eve any person can kiss anyone at the stroke of midnight? From how I see it this unfortunate incident is an example of a clash of people (mostly out of control young men) who have wholeheartedly embraced the above tradition and ladies who have yet to.

Personally I believe the rule of consent should be equally applicable even here too.

Dude, Pakistan's record towards rape is indeed stellar compared to shitty india.

Pakistan has 41x less rapes than india. Just imagine that, 41 TIMES!!!!!

Read the complete article from Opening post and understand what he's saying. Anyways...indians can stay losers, dumb, and culturally inferior.

Who cares?

Keep raping your hindu girls. They are slutty anyways..probably wont mind:omghaha:

Learn from pakistan ? What ? 4 witnesses and impatience to the level that one needs to shut off the females behind black clothing that even her nails are not exposed ?

We are supposed to evolve not devolve. America, europe, or even china for that matter are the bettter models to be followed.

Oh we're talking math here, eh?

Let's see...

Per year Rapes in Pakistan (from the article I quoted above, safe to say ) = 3000 (approx.)
https://en.dailypakistan.com.pk/blog/rape-in-pakistan-lets-talk-about-it/

Per year rapes in India (source National Crime records beaureau of India) = 25000 (approx.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_in_India

Population of Pakistan = 200,000,000
Population of India = 1,250,000,000

%age rapes in Pakistan = 3000/200,000,000 = .0015%
%age rapes in India = 25000/1250000000 = .002%

%age by which Pakistan's numbers are better = (.002-.0015)/.002 = 25%

Now, why would India learn from a lawless state which is merely 25% better than us rather than learning from some country which is, say, 90% better than us? ...and this only in terms of rape numbers which are reported. Pakistan, with is less developed media and social awareness is bound to have far fewer incidences reported than those actually occurring.

So, then, I ask again, why would I seek inspiration from a third division guy and not from the topper of the class?

It's like saying, that the guy scoring 30/100 should learn form the guy scoring 37.5/100.

Seriously?

It's a fucking BLOG you dim wit. A fucking blog!!! Not a source.

There is literally no source for 3000 rapes per year in Pakistan.

I gave you Human Rights Commission report on rapes in Pakistan in 2015, and the number was 727.

Per year rapes in India (source National Crime records beaureau of India) = 25000 (approx.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_in_India

The number of rapes reported in india in 2015 official numbers from government is : ~35,000

So please, NOW do your stupid "math" and come up with some percentage...

Based on corrected, verifiable, and credible numbers from official and credible organizations...not "blogs"

Go ahead now

35000 vs 727.

Your country is a shithole with more poverty, no toilets, and rape everywhere. You can't change this fact..sorry.

.
We will fail all women if we learn anything from Pakistan in this regard.
Pakistan should first start registering cases of rape.. pathetic.
Atleast Indian women are getting empowered and can speak for their rights.

You're bang on point. This is precisely what people forget, willingly or unwillingly.

Rapes in India (and Pakistan, speaking from cultural standpoint since the two were basically the same country) have always been there. It's just that, as India and Indian media are growing, the number being reported is also growing. It's a good thing, since the first step towards solving a problem is accepting that there is one.

Pakistan still has to reach that phase, owing to its lack of development and openness in society.

Pakistanis' argument here is exactly like the Iranians saying there's no homosexuality in Iran. It's the classic Pakistani denial like you see in all other walks of life. Bollocks!

.
I think crime patrol "reality based series " tells a different story about india...women are slaves there... Yall like to live in your little illusions..

Who is actually suffering with illusion?
A Pakistani that couldnt see the India until now or an Indian that know his nation and visits Benglaru several times.

I saw the video of guys just grabbing random women and start kissing them. It's all on camera. indians treat their women like sh!t.

PS, due to indians slave mentality--they are increasingly becoming Westernized and hence their women feel "modern" by wearing small dresses, showing skin, whoring around (indian girls here in US are famous for this), and getting drunk. This only increases the problems.

Pakistanis should learn a lesson here. Be thankful for our Islamic rooted traditional culture. It provides so many benefits for us all. Never let uber wanna be liberals change our culture. We should learn proper things from West--that is technology, rule of law, merit based progress in society, and so on..But for our social culture, We must always look to Islam as it is the most "fit" social culture in the world in many, many aspects.

Look what indians have become, a joke for the world.

Pakistan should promote modesty and not nanga pan in name of modernism. Lower nations who are mentally slaves of west do that (ehm, india)--we don't.

There is a lot to be learn from Pakistan. Especially seeing bastardization of local indian culture.

Our culture are very different (Thankfully) and social culture (Pakistan's) is far superior to the other..

At 2:41am, majority of women in entire world would be indoors. We, civilised human beings, sleep at night in our homes.

So do women in Pakistan. Last time I was there, even in my small town, I saw tons of women driving cars and what not. Women driving, working, commuting is normal over here. Yeah, generally women who are driving cars are with other women/family (going for shopping I guess?) and have proper traditional dress (Pakistani style shalwar kameez and dupata on their heads/neck generally).

Yeah, in general, Pakistani girls don't wear mini skirts, reveal themselves on purpose, go to bars to get drunk and grind on random guys' penises and so on. These are deeds of lowly and uncultured..and Pakistani women are nothing like that.

So yeah, indian girls are different here from Pakistani girls (and THANK GOD for Pakistani girls being different and cultured rather than being cheap and uncultured hoes).

Nobody "locks" em home. In higher education, there are more women graduating than men in Pakistan (same in many other Muslim countries). Just because Pakistani women (and Muslim women in general) aren't whoring themselves around, know the proper behavior, and have higher sense of themselves and their culture (compared to lowly, cheap girls)--it doesn't mean that they are "locked up"

Pakistani women are smart, independent, and confident--yet highly cultured and possess good values (unlike many of their indian counter parts).

Sorry, but reality is reality.

Reality can already seen in your own post.
Tons of womens :D .?
That is the level of respect .
Good effort though

"Tons of people" is a common everyday usage term in American English.

You can ask your fellow indians residing in US. It's not disrespectful at all to say that.
