Belarusian heavy dumper trucks enter Pakistani market

The Belarusian heavy trucking company BELAZ has launched its first dumper truck in Pakistan with 45-tonne loading capacity and it will mainly be used in cement and mining sectors.

A ceremony in this regard was held here at the Cherat Cement Factory.
The company has planned to procure at least 15 such heavy machines in a year.
“This is the first step as we are looking forward to boost our trade with Pakistan especially in heavy machinery, agriculture, pharmaceutical, and other areas in future,” said Ambassador of Belarus in Pakistan Endrei Ermolovich while addressing the ceremony.

“This year is a very special one in the history of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan because the two countries are marking the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations,” he said adding “over the recent years we have managed to set every conditions for the full-scale development of Belarus-Pakistan cooperation..

Really hurts this. Belarus, a non entity country on the ar*se side of Europe with a population smaller then Lahore city. Yet look what they make and we import. All we can export is what earth sprouts out, rice and some cotton.

*Shame*

Hi,

One reason behind that is Z A Bhutto---he destroyed the pak industrial complex---.

And before that---Pak managers decided to stay as an agricultural country---.

Don't be so self-critical. BelAZ - one of the top Soviet industrial enterprises and one of the world leaders in that field. When I was a kid I had toy car BelAZ as millions of Soviet boys.

You should omit 75710 from the picture, it has the capacity of 450 tons not just 45. 75710 is a beast compared to 7547. The truck behind the people in the launching ceremony is either from 7545 or 7547 series.

Yes, that did cross my mind. My brother has widely travelled in ex Soviet Central Asian states. Kazakstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. What struck him was how the people are similiar to Pakistani's. Tajikistan is literally stone throw from Pakistan border. Yet these states are vastly ahead of Pakistan. In infrastructure, in literacy, in health, in city scapes they are ahead. And of course this has everything to do with the Soviet era.

The Soviet Union clearly invested in it's outlying regions that were underdeveloped and brough them to a 'average'. The British Empire instead invested in 5% elite while the 95% were left to rot. The result is what you see today. That 95% has become cannon fodder for Islamists and extremism. Entirely averse to modern world. Whereas Central Asia is ready and open to grabbing the modern world.

I still think the British did some good. We would have been even worse was it not for them ~ at least they brought modicum of moderenity. But the Soviet Union did vastly better. You know growing up in 1970s/80s UK we were taught that Soviet Uniuon was 'evil.

He also had a GIANT role in politicizing schools, colleges and the education system which was flourishing under Field Marshal Ayub Khan.

And politicizing the police force and him & his family later started a private militia which later morphed into a terror org operating from foreign soil.

Him and his generations are traitors in my eyes.

If needed we can produce all weapons including APC, tanks, jets, nukes, missiles etc but why we suck so much in private sector? It seems our local business dont want to venture outsite garment, cement, wheat, sugar, rice business or maybe govt don't support them. someone plz explain this shit.

Regarding trucks in Pakistan.
Then all truck makers coming to Pakistan should give Pakistan trucks that have a sleeper cabin in them. As I am a trucker myself(part time) and I have seen too many truck drivers barely trying to sleep on manji in manji hotels. And many of them often are the ones hauling cargo from coastal areas of Pakistan to Afghanistan and Chinese borders, some even further.

Whereas their employers and the companies can provide them with what is available in America.
Also soo many trucking companies here allow their new employs to customize their own trucks. Some guys even put in PS4s etc. While TV, Fridge, Beds are standard.

Soviet Union was anti-egalitarian and anti-usurer state. Like early empire of the Mongols. This is why usual egalitarian politicians and historians will scream to death that USSR is "Empire of evil". Central Asian republics were literally bathed in investments. They stepped from the natural Middle Ages into the socialist state of the 20th century.
